Currently have a solo trip booked for 10 days arriving the day after Thanksgiving. As I still have 4 vacation days left, am wondering about going down for a long weekend either at the end of August (birthday weekend) or Columbus Day weekend (MNSSHP). Would you to 2 trips so close together or just wait it out until November. Financially, it would be a little tight to do 2.

I think that two so close together would be hard financially to do. I would wait until November and then take my other vacation days some other time before the end of the year (if you have to). We have to take all of ours, they do not roll over like they used to.

I'm also contemplating a 4-day trip at the end of august with a planned 6-day trip for end Sept./Oct. For Aug, I'd have a free place to stay and have an AP, but the cost of airfare is stopping me from going. IF I can get airfare below $180RT from PVD/BOS to MCO then I'll probably do it.

So I'd say see if airfare drops, then crunch the numbers and if you can swing it, go for it!! Also you might want to book you resort before the FREE dining goes away...

Good luck with your decision!!! :teeth:

Us too, although my bosses are a little flexible with that.

I currently have credits with Southwest that I was going to use for my November trip, but could possibly use for another trip. According to WDWTC it would be $600.28 at the All Star Sports & $870.32 for Port Orleans French Quarter. With AAA, it would be a little less.

What about extending the current trip an extra 4 days? Would that be too much?

I would not go because of the cost. I would use my extra days to tack onto my regular days off so I could have a break, or use 2 of the days before your trip starts, and 2 after. That way you'll have time to get ready, and time to recover! Yes, now that I think about it, that's what I would do!
