Day One
Just got back last night from a long weekend at the RPR. We normally go to Orlando during our fall break in Oct. but needed to wait until the HS Soccer season was over in TN. Departed out of BNA on Friday at 6 and arrived at RPR at about 9, called it an early night after getting to know the resort again.
Stayed in Tower 2 and the room was nice.
Saturday morning expecting to see some crowd, picked up our tickets and opened the IOA. Great weather and never waited more than 5 min to ride anything. Dressed to get wet and did just that on Ripsaw Falls and Bilge-Rat Barge. Almost forgot that you don't just get wet, you get wet from head to toe. Not a dry thread on any of us!
Had lunch at Thunder Falls Terrace, good but not great, was hoping for a little better before we went off to get wet. Everything was working and the family had a great time. Wife, LG (9), BG(14) and I rode everything we wanted many times over. After the first trip around the park, Poseidon Fury became a favorite for BG, LG loved 1fish-2 fish, Wife loved Hulk and my favorite was Spider-Man.
Only down side was the new restrictions on Pterandon Flyers, but lucky for us, we had the LG. A lot of unhappy adults walked away, we were nice and loan the LG to ride with a Granny that had never rode it.
Great first day and finished it up with a nice dinner at NBA City. Love the place, even knowing that the food is average for the price.
Walked back and forth from RPR to City Walk, really enjoyed the freedom to walk without waiting on buses.:cool1:

A great first day. feeling a bit jealous, you get a long weekend in RPR and i get a long weekend in Dublin:confused3, looking forward to your 2nd day
