Hi there,

We have been to Disney twice, for 3 and 5 night trips. Each time has been pretty rushed but we've seen a lot. We have been to all the parks and also Typhoon Lagoon (which we loved). Now, we are considering going on a 8 night trip in September. I'm not sure what we would do the whole time!!! There would be 4 days for the parks, 2 days for the water parks... and I don't know what to do the other two days. I have the Birnbaum's guide. So, I've read up on all the neat things at the other resorts, and other options... but, I'm not sure how I'd like not "doing" something when I'm there.

Can anyone else shed some light on what they do? Oh, and we are going to be getting the Dining Plan... it is for free.

ALSO, it is my birthday, we'll be going to MNSSHP AND IT WILL BE OUR HONEYMOON!

Congratulations on your wedding and honeymoon. What kind of passes will you have?? Only four days?? There are lots of things you can do on your off days. Which hotel are you staying at?? You can have nice dinners, or a couples masssge at the GF, carriage rides, and tons more. We always stay for about 9 nights and never run out of things to do. On one of your off days you could go to the beach at the Poly and watch Wishes, you can shop at downtown disney, visit the boardwalk, Pleasure Island, clubs etc. You can also rent the water mice boats for a fun afternoon.

Sounds lovely!

We might get a 8 day pass... there isn't much cost difference, definitely with the water park option.

We'll be staying at CSR.

We're so excited... thanks for confirming that it won't be a waste of time and money! :goodvibes

wow you are looking at it a bit odd IMO. 2 days for the waterparks?? sure you may go to the waterparks for 2 days, but your day doesnt end after that...same with the AK, the park closes at what 5 or 6, but your day doesnt end. And 4 days for the parks...thats just rushing through the parks.

Now everyone feels differently and enjoys things differently, if you are saying seeing the parks is just trying to hit every ride and attraction (and some people do and I dont hold that against them) then yes you could do it that way. But for many people, the magic of Disney isnt experienced that way. SLLLLLLLLLOW down, stop and smell the roses as they say. You have all those days...why rush through the parks? Go slow and just enjoy the parks, the resorts. You did say its your honeymoon, what better reason do you need to just go slow and relax.

It wont be a waste of time or money. We will be there at the same time for free dining. If you have any questions about the dining plan or restaurants feel free to ask anything else. I have been quite alot so I can answer any questions :goodvibes

We are doing our second eight day trip in June. We love it, have a wonderful time, and we JUST do the parks. We don't do water parks. We generally plan two days in each park. What we love is that you can slow down. We take our time, we go back and swim, we just relax. It's great.

We've never really just tried to select particular rides and "done" the parks... we feel really happy with our previous trips. Last trip, we spent 2 days at Epcot but only 1 day at each of the other parks and were happy with that.

I'm glad that it won't be outrageous for this amount of time and that others out there do it. :cool1: I'm looking forward to being able to spend some more resort time, etc. :wizard:

Just make sure to make ADR's because restaurants will be very busy with the free dining plan taking place.

I think you will find plenty of things to do. Now you'll have time to lounge around the pool. Maybe see Hoop Dee Doo or walk around Downtown Disney. You'll find you won't be in such a comando mode knowing you have more time to do things. Make those ADR's because that many days of counter service would not be fun.

Hoop De Doo is on our list of things that we would like to get in. Especially since we wouldn't usually do it.

I have lots of ADR making experience... so, we should be good in that regard.

In September, our family is going for 10 nights. It will be our longest trip, we usually go for 7 or 8.

Now I have small kids so we are allotting 2 days for MK, but we have down-time also the "do what we want days" We may swim, which I'm sure one day we will since part of our stay is at the BCV and the kids are dying to do SAB. But we will probably also rent bikes on the BW , maybe play miniature golf, rent a watermouse or hang out at DTD.

By adding the extra days on you can take a mid day break and visit other resorts or lay by the pool at yours. Then head to a different park for the evening. You did not say if your pass is a 'hopper' but it is worth every penny to be able to hop to a different park.
A slower pace is so much better, there is so much more to the parks than just the rides...

Congrats on your upcomming marriage..

Bev
