I recently returned from an extended stay at WDW, with 3 nights at BCV followed by 30 nights at BWV. It was my dream vacation, one I had wanted to take for years!

BCV--In the past, I had problems with dirty rooms. I am happy to report that my room was perfect! I was in a studio on the 5th floor facing Epcot. I wasn't always thrilled with my BCV purchase, but the resort has truly grown on me, and I look forward to more stays here. The hot water was not quite hot enough, but they were doing some checking one night, as there was a message on my phone that there would be no hot water available from midnight to 5:30 a.m. as they were going to test the lines. (At least they're aware of the problem.) The thermostat issue seems to have been resolved--no problems at all. (I need a cool room.)
I loved my stay there, being so close to Epcot was just great!

BWV--Ahhhh. 30 wonderful nights. I enjoyed each one, savoring every minute! I was solo for a good portion of the trip, so I was in a studio. (Yes--a studio for 30 nights, and I survived!) DS flew down for 5 nights and stayed in his own room. DH visited for only 4 nights due to his workload. I had an amazing time--hit the parks, strolled around, and just relaxed; some days I did absolutely nothing. It was such a luxury to have no schedule and time to do whatever I was in the mood for.

I/we dined out at many restaurants, including Coral Reef, 'Ohana, RFC, Shula's, Spoodles, Sci-Fi, etc. The best meal was at Spoodles--it was wonderful! Shula's was a bit of a dissappointment--not the food, but the service. We felt like we were bothering the waitstaff by being there--totally not what we expected for the prices they charge. That was the only dissappointment of the whole trip. Oh, well...we'll not be going back there.

Can't wait to return to WDW, but I have to wait until October when we'll be back at the BWV!!

33 nights at WDW! I am SO jealous! I'd stay in a broom closet and be happy!

I would be ok in the broom closet too - make room!

33 days - good for you!

Did you eat out for dinner a lot or make do in the studio? That would be my only concern for having a studio - limits on meal creativity

thanks

All I can say is WOW!! That sounds like a dream come true, to be gone for a month during the winter and in WDW. Glad you had a good time!!:D

<------------ This is me being jealous!

30 days at Disney <sigh> and boardwalk to boot. Love it.

Glad you had a great time and that your faith in BCV is restored!

Sounds like a dream come true. Just curious as to what type of pass you had for this long of a stay. We live too far away to be sure that we could get there often enough for annual passes. We usually use world hopper passes or ultimate park hopper.:bounce:

Boy now I have something to aim for....my 15nights with a split stay at Dolphin was my dream come true....but ...30 nights at my favorite BWV....that it awesome.....

Carefree.....Whoppie..:hyper: :hyper:

::yes:: I am just green with envy!!!! 30 carefree days at BWV plus 3 more at BCV - WOW!!! That is a goal worth striving for!!!! :teeth: Glad you had an awesome time and thanks for reporting back to us.

[Did you eat out for dinner a lot or make do in the studio? That would be my only concern for having a studio - limits on meal creativity.]

I did eat out, but I splurged a few times and got room service. I also got meals "to go." If I had leftovers from dinner (had to save room for dessert!), I would have them wrapped and they'd be lunch or dinner the next day. I had breakfast in my room most days. (I brought a backpack full of coffee, cereal, whatever I could fit, from home.) I did get to the Winn-Dixie one day, thanks to a sweet fellow DISer, KarenNY.

[Just curious as to what type of pass you had for this long of a stay.]

I had an AP which worked out great.

It truly was a dream come true! I feel very fortunate that I was able to experience this.

That is awesome!! 30 days at BWV - I would be in heaven. I know how you feel (felt) about BCV. We bought in there so we could access some of the BWV points only available to members at the time (so we own both with a little more at BWV). We have only been to BCV once, in a studio with a courtyard view. It was okay, but not even close to BWV. I hope it grows on me too. Our next trip there is in december - but we get to return to BWV in september :hyper:

What was your view of in the BWV studio?

Thanks for the great report. I hope someday to get a longer stay than my 8 night stay (thats the most so far). Wow 33 days sound super!:wave2:

Count me in with the green with envy crowd! LOL!! 30 days at BWV would be like I died and went to heaven!!
Glad to hear you had a wonderful trip!

Did you book day by day or all at once? If you booked all at once, did the CM go "WOW" --I would have!! What a great trip!

33 days...amazing! Sounds so wonderful and I'm glad you had a great experience at BCV this time.

Our very first stay there in Dec. of 02 was the only time we had water temperature problems. My DH called and engineering came right away, tested and said the temp was way too low and worked on it. Hopefully it will be a thing of the past!

What a great trip! 33 wonderful days to relax and take life at your own pace! Good for you!! Thank your for posting!:sunny:

MdmMim,

How did you get rid of the bruise marks? The ones that you must have gotten from pinching yourself to see if you were dreaming!!!!!

Color me green, too.
