Long term parking at Buffalo airport

So I've been doing some research and getting a park n fly special is cost prohibitive since there is 6 of us - 3 adult and 3 kids. This would require two rooms instead of one which pushes a possible $120-$140 for a room and parking to over $200.

SO I was on the Buffalo Airport website and they have parking on site with prices as follow:

Preferred Long Term (Green Signs) $12/daily or weekly maximum of $72.00
Long Term A (Orange signs) $10/daily or weekly maximum of $50.00
Long Term B (Blue Signs) $8/daily or weekly maximum of $40.00

Anyone parked here before? Good? Bad?

Our flight is 8:50am so I I have no problem leaving at 5am to get there in time. Opinions?

Have used Long term A several times. No trouble with it . Shuttles run frequently. Never had any troubles. Long Term A is all outside non covered parking so if you go in the winter you will come home to a car covered in snow. Not sure what else I can tell you. Oh yeah sign up on the Buffalo airport site for a coupon , it saved us about 5 $ .

We just parked in long term A with the coupon on their website. No problems at all. Shuttles run really frequently since it's a small airport. $45 for the week. That's the 2nd time we've used it & both times we've had no problems.

Shouldn't be a problem leaving T.O. at 05:00.

Drop off your passengers at the terminal first.

Biggest variable are your vehicle, road delays (construction, accidents) and getting across the border.

How many vehicles are you taking with you to BUF? If it is one, only one of your rooms needs to be at the park and fly rate.

no issues with parking here, and the shuttles run pretty frequantly, we had one follow us until we found a spot, and waited for us.

We've made a habit of flying out of the buffalo airport for less expensive flights.

We always park at the long term parking lots at the airport and in the past 4 years I have never had a problem.

If you go on the buffalo international airport website you can find an online coupon that I suggest you print out. It saves you $1 or $2 a day of parking which can be helpful over a period of 6 -10 days.

Good Luck!

If it were me I would just book the room and squeeeeeze everyone in....it's only for 1 night.

We have used the long term A lot several times with no troubles at all. In fact the last time that I used it in the winter there was a staff member that drove up beside me and told me to follow him to available parking spots. When I got out of the car he said he had already called the shuttle for me. When the shuttle arrived I was still getting my self together and I told him I needed a few minutes so he could go ahead. He said that it was OK and he would wait. Can you believe that? How nice !!!!

When you return they usually drive you right to your car.

Sleep Inn Buffalo Airport has "suites" that will accomodate 6 people-2 double beds and a sofa bed- it is really just one big room- has a microwave and fridge as well. We did not have great luck the last time with them for the shuttle to airport/parking part- they have you park in a separate lot away from hotel when there longer than a week then there was a huge snow storm and the lot was a muddy mess with snow banks to try and get over to get out. The hotel itself was fine though. They seem to have some people on shorter trips that actually park on airport property and the hotel shuttle driver gets you in and out. Shuttle from hotel a little slow picking us up on our return seemed like forever standing in the cold after FLORIDA.

Our next trip this December we booked 2 rooms for $54 each room at the Best Western Buffalo Airport- got it through hotwire and we are parking at the airport so at least if there is a snow storm the lot should be plowed and not all mud. If you get a good price on the hotel room it seems about the same price to just park at the airport. Since it is only one night for us I was willing to risk what hotel I would get with Hotwire. Having two rooms will be nice for having two bathrooms- there are 7 of us this trip- 2 adults/5 kids.:santa:64 DAYS TO GO!!!

Parking at the Buffalo airport is really easy. We have stayed over at a hotel and parked at the airport - either option is very good and most hotels will have a really reliable shuttle service. The only deciding factor for us is the time of our flight. If we stay at a hotel the night before an a.m. flight we love to shop for US brands we can't get at home and leave everything in our vehicle so we don't have to worry about overloading our suitcases.

Looks like you are leaving during winter months, I would suggest you be very generous in the time you calculate it will take to reach the Buffalo airport. You can run into several variations in weather along the lake and it could really mess up your departure.
