Long Term 7 month availability at Riviera and Poly Tower

I think it’s also the shiny new tower effect. Everyone wants to try it and so I wouldn’t try predicting the future availability on the first year or two. Once the initial hoopla passes I think we’ll have a more accurate representation of availability.
I agree. Shiny new tower. But once that wears off I think the longhouses will be harder to get--they're larger, less points per sq foot, and IMO nicer, except for the tower TPV rooms, but the points on those are crazy. Waking up in a Tokelau studio beats any similarly point-priced studio in the tower.

I really wish they had just made every room at Poly tower either a 1BR or a 2BR. Instead they just added more studios to an already studio heavy resort.
Totally agree. I think it would help calm the chaos down a bit at Poly grounds/pools, too. I was shocked at how many families with little kids were packed at Poly. They’re definitely using the longhouse studios to maximize bodies in the room. If PIT only had 1B/2B, you’d be getting an older crowd of multigenerational trips and teens/tweens who need more space to spread out in the rooms.

I will say, aside from the PIT 2BPH (which is frankly stupid with a pop-up TV blocking the greatest views in MK and eating up significant living room space,) the room designs at PIT are really wonderful. The Duo rooms are vastly improved from RR, and even though the studios only sleep four, the dishwasher kitchenette and kidney-shaped banquette with luggage bench is awesome. Don’t get me started on my love affair with the enclosed toilet closet! LOL.

But, yes, to OP, I think PIT is always going to be a beast to get into, even with the shocking point chart. All those cramped OG studio goers’ children will grow up and need extra space. If they’re Poly lovers, they’re not going to want to be somewhere else, so they’ll upgrade. Plus, all those SS/OKW whales 🐳 with points to burn will happily try out those TPV rooms. The views ARE beautiful.

Count me in as those excited to try it once but, considering it's the highest points per night I've ever paid for any room so far (Island Tower 2-Bedroom Theme Park View averaging 102pts per night), I'm already considering it a one-and-done. 😂

The duo studios at RR reminded me of an office 🤣🤣 those were the first rooms they showed us and I was like what kind of rooms are these 🤣🤣 was happy when we moved on to the 2 bedroom
