Long shot- Mystic, CT fire date?

Does anyone know the date of the big fire that destroyed some of Mystic's downtown area years ago? Maybe it was Old Mystic Village? I've searched and I can't find anything. Thanks.

Are you sure you mean Mystic and not New London? I remember reading a huge fire developed in New London in the aftermath of the hurricane of September 1938. Several blocks burned down because electricity was out and water mains were ruptured.

I'm not aware of any Mystic fire.

Thanks to you both, but I'm pretty sure it was in Mystic, and it would have been in the last twenty years or so. Some of the tourist type businesses were destroyed, and if I recall, it was a fairly large fire.
