Long overdue dining reviews

Tell me about that French Cafe place; is it Counter Service? I've never spent too much time in France, so I guess I missed it. I must try that cheese plate...YUM!!!!

Oh and I like how your are feeling up the lego man. HAVE YOU NO SHAME?? YOU'RE A TAKEN WOMAN!!!

Although a couple more inches north and I'd bet he'd wake up from that damn nap.

HA!!! You read my mind--that is where my hand was originally headed--just to make my DH laugh. Then some little kids came by and I got ashamed of myself.

The name of the place is Boulangerie Patisserie. It is basically a bakery. It is a long narrow shop, with long deli-style counters on each side when you go in. There are some tables outside the entrance, and then some tables as you exit in a souveneir shop--these are cooler and out of the sun.

I think the reason I like this so much is it's quick, but nothing like a hot dog or hamburger. It is such a nice break. I like the convenience of this plus the yumminess. The baguette is really nice, and it comes with grapes. If you try it, let me know what you think! :wave2:

Ohhhh, ok. Now I'm picturing Nat'l Lampoon's European Vacation, when they went to the Oktoberfest thing and there were scads of people at these loooong tables, all eating and drinking and waving their steins of beer around and singing.

Like that? :rotfl:

HA! No, there was no music the day that we went but I heard that they do that a lot. If I'd had a stein of beer to wave I would probably have felt more comfortable.

Trickyfish, let me know what you think if you try it next time.

Next time feel up Goofy. He seems to be into that sort of thing.

You've totally made my day. I freakin' hate hamburgers and one hot dog a vacation will suffice (unless they are the smaller red ones, I kinda dig those for some reason  ). But I had no idea this place existed...and I've been to Disney uh, how many times?

Just goes to show you no matter how many visits, you can see and experience new things every time! (at least that's how I'm brainwashing the ol' DH into more trips...muah hah ha haa! ) :tilt:

Woohoo! I have made a day! :goodvibes: I don't know if you like tuna sandwiches, but that was a nice break, too. I actually like hotdogs but after just two I couldn't eat one again until last week.
I wish I could convince DH we need to go back. He said last night that he didn't know when he'd be up for it again because I'd "half-killed" him last time. I thought I was taking it easy on him. Oh, well, I will prevail!

I do like tuna sandwiches, or even tuna salad, so I'll definitely store it in the "non-hamburger joints" file in my head. Not the actual tuna samich, but the idea. Nevermind.

I didn't think I'd get my DH back to WDW anytime soon, but it actually turns out he's really easy to manipulate! The one thing that worked well for me was to get him talking about WDW to friends. Even though he's no Disney freak, he does get pretty animated and excited talking about it. So while he's remembering the good times, and is preferrably a little drunk, then you have to swoop in and go for the kill.

If that doesn't work, just whine and carry on like a trip to WDW is the only thing that'll keep you sane. As I always say: A sane wife is a happy wife and that means good meals and a clean house for the husband.

Happy Manipulating! :smooth:

:rotfl:

Love the humorous comments!

The only bad meal I have ever had at WDW was at ABC Commissary.

Thanks for the great reviews. I just loved reading your trip reports also. We always stop in the France bakery on every trip, there Peach tarts are really great.
