Hey,

Are any of you in a long distance relationship?

If so...

How long have you been going out for?

How often do you see one another?

I am for half the year.
My BF goes to University in a city about an hour away. How often we see each other depends on our schedules, when we'reboth busy with lots of schoolwork it could be 3-4 weeks before we see each other. It's pretty touch, but we talk on skype and text each other and call each other all the time.
When he comes home for winter break, spring break and the summer we see each other as often as we can, which may not be every day but it's enough.
We're in our 3rd year together.

My best friend though, she is in a SUPER long distance relationship. Here BF lives in England. She met him on myspace (sketchy, i know, but he's actually a great guy) and they've been together for just over 3 years I think. THey only get to see each other 2-4 times a year, one goes to the others place for Christmas, and the other goes over for most of the summer, and if they're lucky there might be a couple of other visits in between.
BUT He's moving to Toronto in June!!!!! I'm SO happy for them.
I know they're definitely meant to be and are going to get married and are perfect for each other.
It's crazy that someone can find love over the internet. He's such a great guy and I'm glad he's moving here :goodvibes

I've been in two.

First one, guy, lasted 1 month, 9 days. (he did the dumping)

Second one, girl, lasted 1 month, 1 day. (I did the dumping)

Both were within 4, 5 months of each other.

Well, we're not technically dating, but we kinda are. It's a really complicated situation. We exchange gifts for birthdays and christmas. He calls me "babe" and says "I love you" and I say it right back. But neither of us has asked the other out. But we're basically dating.

He lives in North Carolina. I live in New Hampshire. He moved in June of 2008. We haven't spoken face-to-face since. And we've pretty much been "dating" since then.

I'm in a long distance relationship right now, but it's on the DL in real life, only 2 of my close friends know, and my brother knows. That's it. And it's not that I'm ashamed of it at all, it's just that I don't know what anyone would think of me. I mean I could get a boyfriend that goes to my school, but I don't want any of them, they just aren't like him, they are all just jerks and I'm tired of being treated like a door mat, and being walked all over. My parents have to know by now, but if they don't then I guess they're just dumb. lol My one close friend always says, "It's just an online thing Kayla, how can you be so crazy for someone" and it's honestly more than just an "online thing" I can't describe it, but it's just SOO much more than that.
We've been dating for about 6 months now, on and off. We started dating August 14th, and broke up towards the end on October, then started back up December 19th, and have been together since then. We haven't met yet, and I'm hoping we will sometime soon. College will be our best bet, because we will have more freedom. But I'm still hoping we will meet sometime before that though. It sucks that I can't see him everyday like most couples, but I think that the day we meet will be even more special. (:

I think I know who it is. I'm not 100% sure, though.

I can't describe what I'm trying to say. I'm like so proud that you're doing this. I tried it once, and it didn't work out. I hope everything works out for you two. :)

Hahah thanks Allison (:
It's just not for some people that's all.

I'm in one right now and have been in one previously.

My first one was when I went to college so it was a Florida to NYC relationship. It didn't work. At all. But in all fairness I REALLY was not into it and did not put any effort into making it work and eventually broke it off.

Now I am in a relationship with a boy who lives in Boston. The Boston to NYC trip isn't too bad...around 4 hours. It depends when I can see him. It is usually every couple weeks. No more than 3. I got to see him last weekend AND this weekend though, which was amazing. Our relationship is pretty soild though because we Skype every night. That's about as close to seeing each other as you can get. I mean the only thing we can't do is have any sort of physical contact....which I mean, it sucks, but it could be a WHOLE lot worse.
