Do any stores sell long distance calling cards without expiration dates?

Maybe I'm the only one who still uses these. Cell service is not good at my house, so I prefer not to use my cell phone to make calls from home. The phone company wanted me to pay an additional fee every month for long distance service on my landline, even if I didn't make long distance calls, so I cut off the long distance part of my bill. And I refuse to bundle with my cable company.

I don't make a lot of long distance calls, but of course Disney doesn't use toll free numbers.

I had a card, but apparently it expired a year after first use, even though I had not used up all of the minutes on it.

I don't know the answer to your question but I will share what happened to my daughter when she used one of these to make an international call via her Verizon home phone. Verizon billed her for $600 and claimed that it was direct dialed. Even with the used card as evidence they wouldn't back off. My daughter paid the bill and shut down the service.

Just cancel your land line phone and get a VOIP device like OOMA that routes your phone calls over your internet connection. I pay $5 per month for phone service with unlimited long distance calls.

Check target. At&t is the card I used to use for calling international long distance.

There can be issues unique to VOIP too. My employer switched from ATT to a VOIP system to save money. But many of our calls are "toll calls" within our area code. When you are a customer of a big phone company, they include the network access for free. When you aren't, they charge a per call fee for your VOIP system to connect to the network. Bottom line, our phone costs went up, not down.

Google Voice would work. You have to start on your phone though, u basically tell it to call your landline. its got some pretty cheap rates too.

I bought my card at Walmart .. it has a small Walmart Logo on it

It is a .. AT&T PrePaid Phone Card .. Somethings that have changed

from the card I had before it .. it is 5 cents a minute (instead of 3.5 cents a minute)

and they charge a Reloading fee ($4.00 or $5.00)

I usually reload = 600 Minutes x 5 cents = $30.00 + the $4.50 (fee) = $34.50 total.

Their phone number is 1-800-487-7646

Another new item is .. it does say it will expire in a year from the date of the current

phone call I am making .. so as long as I keep calling a few times

a year it will not expire (because the date keeps being reset with each phone call)

All my calls are in the USA .. so the cost per minute is less than a call outside the USA

Really? Mine is still valid and its 5+ years old. Maybe the older ones didn't have expiration dates.

But I got it at least 5 or more years ago, when I was doing international travelling (because these are also good for international phone calls from outside the USA, as long as you can find a payphone, which is also getting scarce in Europe)

I used to get AT&T pre-paid phone cards at Sam's Club and they didn't expire, but I haven't seen them at my Sam's club lately.

We go to a small local store - Tysens Card shop. They sell greeting cards, cigarettes, small gifts, lotto, etc. Picture the small shop by a gas station. They sell various long distance/international calling cards. We use them to call Italy. There are different ones, some have more fees/don't last as long as others. One needs to read the fine print....

I used to also get my international phone cards at Sam's Club and the one that I currently have has no expiration date. Used to interchange between buying them at Target and getting them at Sam's Club.

But it looks like they now do, but it's a year from the last use, so all you have to do is use it once a year and it'll be good.

Why not just go to a spot where reception on your cell is good to make your calls? Or better yet, do what needs to be done w/Disney online?
