long couple of days....

I just need a little vent here so bear with me. I HAVE TO WORK THE DAY I LEAVE!!! I work 9am-5pm, have mine and my sister's birthday party at 6pm, and am leaving for the airport at 11pm!!! We get to the airport at 3:15am. Flight leaves at 7:45am (we're leaving extra early since we have to cross from canada to the usa to get to the detroit airport and with all the added security precautions....better safe than sorry), arrive at MCO at 9:50am, DME to resort, and off to the parks!!
There's a scheduling confilict with a co-worker who just HAD to have my first day of holidays off and since I was techincally available during the day...and my boss asked me very nicely.... anyways, thanks for listening!

We're leaving in the evening, so DD6 is going to school that day, and both
DW and I are working. We hope it will tamp down our anticipation a little, but DD6 has been warned not to spend the day bouncing off the walls.

Amy4Bruce, I'm sure you're daughter will behave well at school that day if you make sure she knows her souvenier allotment will be cut in half if she doesn't!! And yeah, should be a fun day at work for us all! When are you off? I'm sure you guys will have a GREAT trip!!

I will be working 8 am to 4 pm on the Saturday we leave to drive to Disney. I am a hairdresser and Saturday is a big day. We will be leaving home about 5 or 6 pm and stop in North Carolina sometime during the night to sleep. After breakfast we will head the rest of the way and get into Orlando about 3 or 4 pm Sunday if all goes well. We have done this a few times before and it seems to work well for us. I do some of the early driving and DH does the rest. By leaving after work on Saturday I have the full week in and don't have to use so much vacation time. We go for a week and a half, so I only miss one weekend of work. And I also have my tips from that Saturday for spending cash and tips along the way.

I couldn't sleep much anyway with all the anticipation of going to WDW. I'm way to hyper and working helps me get through it.

We'll be leaving on Saturday, Sept. 23.

Disneyholic - you're right, I just hope my co-workers don't expect me to do much but smile and break into spontaneous tap dancing all day saturday! I'm sure you guys will have a an awesome trip too! Perhaps we'll run into one another!

I'm working 9:30am-3:30pm the day we leave. My hubby took the day off, he's going to drop me off in the morning and picking me up and we're going right to the airport. That's not so bad though, I just *have* to be packed before 9:00am. I'm going to wear my blue Tigger t-shirt under my blue button down shirt too.

I work 16 hrs on Sat and 16 hrs on Sun and then we leave on Sun night for the 3 hour trip up. Sun is soooooo hard to get through!!! I feel your pain!!!! An EXTRA shift at that!!!! Extra pixie dust on your trip for you!!!

We leave in 8 days! I can't wait. I am not sleeping that well because I am so excited. We were just there in Dec. 05.

I got my vacation pedicure with Mickeys on my big toes! and I am busy walking to break in my new birkenstocks. I have lists for lists and am practically packed. Thank goodness I can listen to my ipod at work (Disney Park music, of course) One more week of work to go!
