Long Celebration?

Hello all,
Is it me or does it seem that the 50th celebration is lasting longer than any other celebrations? We were there for the opening of the 50th and had the best time and went back in Sept. for a surprise trip and it went well also but, it felt like been there, done that kind of feeling.
We had talked about another spring trip but mentioned to my DW the 50th will still be going on and thought kids might be bored from it. I, myself think they are extending it so that they can go right into the 35th anniversary for Disneyworld after the 50th celebration.
So after all this we still are going to the world, not in the spring but in Dec.06 for our 10 year wedding anniversary with a four night cruise as well!!
Talk about your celebrations!!!!
Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Several previous celebrations went October through December, i.e., 15 months. This celebration is going April through August, 17 months. These celebrations are a promotional tool. They showcase why people would want to visit; they provide a context for a reason to visit.
