Long Beach Airport to Disneyland Resort

Flat-rate Yellow Cab worked for us from the airport, lots of them at the stand right outside the airport. Just be sure to tell them you want the flat-rate price to Disneyland: https://rideyellow.com/airports/lgb/

If you can get the app to work it would be even cheaper, but for whatever reason it wouldn't validate my payment method.
I see the flat rate to Disneyland on their website but do you know if that also applies to the hotels nearby? Thanks in advance for your help!

We are a party of 7... 4 adults and 3 littles we need 1 booster seat and 2 car seats.... Any suggestions?? Last time we flew we only had our granddaughter so we checked the car seat and uber'd. Now that we have the twins in the family its a hole new experience traveling with 7! Not enough hands to handle the luggage, stroller and car seats and kids :)
When we had littles DH and I each wore one on our back in a soft carrier. Like sakura bloom or lennie lamb. We each carried a car seat on the plane. (Do some research on buying your under 2 kids a seat on the plane. And never check a seat. We were recently in a crash and so glad I didn’t have to worry about my seats integrity. My 7 yo is still harnessed forward facing, no booster.) Each of us carried a bag with diapers and change of clothes for babies, snacks and activities. We used our double stroller to push the car seats and carry on through the airport. Gate checked the stroller.

We check our luggage and we’d usually be able to get it in 1 lg suitcase or maybe 2 if needed. We had boxes of diapers sent to the hotel from amazon. We bring quarters plan to do laundry once during the trip. We’d do it during nap in hotel break.

You might want to look into buying a triple stroller. We are renting from city strollers (they have a joovy triple) this time and just bringing a Maclaren single in the airport (for 6 yo) with 2 yo on my back. We’ll only have one car seat. The big kids will have a mifold booster and a harness only car seat, which they can’t use on the plane.

We bought the $50 car seat from Walmart that’s light plastic to make it easier to carry on the plane, once they were out of the rear only infant car seat and in a heavy, metal frame seat. The older flight attendants often made fun of us for rear facing my 2-3 yo on the plane. It’s legal and safer, don’t let them talk you out of it. Plus they won’t kick the seat in front of them!

Now we only have one little and 2 kids almost ready to outgrow the stroller! Let me know if you have further questions.

We live right by the airport, Lyft XL is $41.97, but it does say only 5 people. Another option would be taking two smaller Lyfts at about $28 each.

Another choice is public transit, it is about a 30 minute trip and is $2.50 per person.
Do they allow luggage on public transit?

Yes, we got the flat rate to the Del Sol Inn on Harbor. I imagine they would honor it to any of the hotels within a few blocks each way on Harbor.

What type of public transit from LGB to Disney area would take 30 minutes or so? Google is showing me that it'll take like 2 hours.

Thank you! I fly in Saturday and the taxi seems the best option with my brother and his wheelchair.

So, we were in Garden Grove so we didn’t get the flat rate- but our fare was $50. When I looked in the Uber or Lyft app it was going to be about $46 and at least a 15 min wait if not more. It was worth it to just walk across the street for the taxi.

Which taxi service did you use?

The Get Away Today vouchers for Karmel have gone up in price. Karmel has returned to offering a shared van service in addition to the private van service.

Nice to find this thread for LGB. I love to fly into LGB since it is so easy to get in and out. I am flying into LGB on Sept 13th to attend the Party on the 14th. We prefer to rent a car and we actually take the street all the way to Disneyland. You can take the street out of the airport and it actually turns into Ball Rd. We love it.

Thanks for the info. I am still trying to decide how to get my boys from LGB to their hotel. I have to fly out a day later so I will meet them there. My oldest is 21, so the "young renter's fee" needs to be considered if I have them rent a car. He needs to rent a car anyway for a portion of the trip.

Uber or Lyft from Disneyland area to LGB should be just under $30 although sometimes they do get surge pricing. After including the parking fees at the hotel and other costs, it may make the most sense to just Uber and then have him rent the car only on the days it is absolutely necessary.

I know at the beginning of the pandemic many rental car agencies waived the underage fee. Not sure if they still are or not. Uber or Lyft is not a bad option but I know I like to depend on myself more than anyone else. I had to fly back home before my family and scheduled a car to pick me up to go to the airport and later I got a call about 2 hours prior to flight that they couldn't make it. I was scrambling to find a ride. I won't take that chance again. Plus if they get a car they can come pick you up also.

My boys (21, 18, 15) flew into LGB last night. I ended up having them take a taxi to their hotel. They used Ride Yellow. No reservation, they just walked out to the taxis. I told them to say they wanted the flat rate as advertised on their website, which is $47 to DLR area hotels. It worked out very well for them. My son said there were mini vans, but they rode in a Prius.

Flew into Long Beach airport today. I simply love this airport. It’s my favorite one to come to So Cal. I will always choose to fly into LGB airport anytime I can.
We miss it so much. We used to have two direct options from Seattle. Then one. Now zero. We sure hope it comes back at some point.

I was so disappointed when JetBlue left but happy Southwest still flys there. I saw Delta and American have a couple flights and was surprised to even see Hawaiian Airlines there also
