Once again, sorry for this delay on posting. School just won't let up =P But here's the rest of my story...
The recap (u can also check my previous post)Me and my boyfriend, 7 days in WDW, day 1 it thunderstormed, day 2 MGM, day 3 Epcot.
The whole week had been cool weatherwise. I had to bring a jacket and sweatshirt wherever I went, which was not what I was expecting in Florida. But it was still clear and sunny, so that was a good thing!
Day 4, we wake up early and make our way to Magic Kingdom via the monorail. We walked around for a bit, and then headed to Splash Mountain. The line was about a 15 min wait, pretty good! I remember when I went one summer 2 years ago and the line was almost a 2 hour wait! The ride was nice and pleasant. I got splashed on as we passed around the drop. I even found the hidden Mickey bobbers! (BF was upset he didn't catch a glipse of them, we'd been looking for hidden Mickeys' all week =) Everything was great, until we got to just before the climb before the big drop. Suddenly the ride stopped! Then a bunch of logs got backed up behind us, with 2 in front of us. We were sitting there for about 10-15 minutes, it was kind of funnny =P I actually took a picture of our logs sitting there, and the CM trying to fix it. Finally we started moving, and finished the ride. My BF loved it! It really is a pleasant and beautiful ride. After that we ate at the Starlite Cafe... the food was alright, satisfying enough. We then headed to Space Mountain, where the line was pretty short as well. It was great! The BF loved it also. it's just so different to ride a roller coaster in the dark. AFter that my BF found an arcade... he loooovves arcades, so we hung out there for a little bit. We then made our way to the Haunted Mansion. i'd never ridden this ride before, and I thought it was well done. I was afraid it would be scary but it was actually really enjoyable. We both liked it. After a while we headed over to It's a Small World, which I told him was a MUST! It was also a great way to relax and feel the Disney Magic =D He thought it was pleasant, nothing exciting but it was still nice. We just took our time after that, walking around MK, taking pictures, shopping. We watched the electrical parade, and it was wonderful as always =) And then we got a decent seat for the fireworks, which were also wonderful! We especially loved the tinkerbell that flew down from the castle. The night was complete, and beautiful, and just simply magical =)
I think one of the best things was walking around Magic Kingdom with my boyfriend and remembering things from when I was a little girl with my parents... seeing the castle for the first time, It's a Small World, The Dumbo ride, the electrical parade. It was like sharing my childhood with him, what an amazing feeling! I was sad though that Mr Toad's wild Ride was gone, and the submarine ride which I remember riding with my Mom when I was little.
We left MK, which closed at 7, and then spent the rest of the night at Epcot again just milling around and enjoying the night. Then it was back to our hotel, exhausted but content =)
The next day was AK, and it was a beautiful day. I didn't even have to wear a jacket! We thought it closed at 6, but when we got there signs posted said it would close at 5 that day for some reason. So we weren't able to see all the animals in the oasis part, but that was ok. We made our way to the River Rapids, and the line was fairly short. It was a wild ride, but we didn't get very soaked. We had a blast! And no one squirted us with the elephants, hehe =P It was great. After that, we went on the safari ride. The BF kept taking pictures, and it was fun to see the animals. AK did a great job with the animals and the land, it looked great. AFter that we discovered the hidden trail between Africa and Asia, it was neat! We had a little snack, some chicken and pot stickers in Asia. We saw it's Tough to Be a Bug. it must have been the 3rd or 4th time I saw this, but I still love it every time! My boyfriend thought it was incredible, he loved all the effects. We then decided to take leisurely walks through the trails in Asia and Africa. The tigers were especially interesting. They're such beautiful creatures. We then made our way to Dinosaur, and the line was very short. This ride has scared me the last time I rode it, and it was no different this time. I only rode it because I didn't want my BF to miss out. It was fun for him, but I was horrified... the picture is of me huddled up into a ball against my BF, haha! We were a little rushed, but we still had time to enjoy AK. It was beautiful and relaxing, we had a great time. AFter that we headed back to Epcot and finished our last PH day there. We ate at the sushi restaurant in Japan, it was delicious! And the people were very very nice. While there was no one in line for Test Track because of Illuminations (which we had seen 2 days before) we got in line and rode it. It was a wonderful ride, because as we got on the outside part the fireworks were going off... It was just beautiful, and so perfect! MAGICAL! =D We left Epcot, sad that it was our last day at the parks but so happy we got to have so much fun with each other. I was so happy he had a great time, for both of us it was re-living our childhoods: for me it was reminiscing about mine, and for him it was being a kid all over again and experiencing WDW for the first time. Our days at the parks together were indescribable.
We had one more option to go to the Water Parks, Sports Complex or Pleasure Island. We hadn't been to Downtown Disney yet, so we headed over there and decided we should use our PI option, since it was raining. Downtown Dis is just great, the shopping was wonderful. WE took pictures, and then went to the West Side. We had a lovely dinner at Bongos. The food was excellent! I would recommend it to anyone =) The BF loved it. We went to PI for a while, and had a good time there even with the rain pouring.
Even though the weather for our trip was less than favorable, we had a great time. For the seven consecutive days we did everything together, we didn't have one argument! We were just glad to be with each other and sharing the Disney Magic together. I know that every trip I've had to Disney was memorable, but for both of us this trip was extra special. Sharing the Disney experience with someone you love and care about immensely is something different, something there are no words for. You just know, when you see that twinkle in their eyes that it was all worthwhile no matter what happened. In our hearts, Disney has a special meaning for each and every one of us. It's a dream come true, our imaginations come to life, and our wishes upon stars made reality. It's an experience that everyone should have.
I hope everyone enjoyed my trip report. I'm not a great writer, but i tried
I just wanted to share my trip with you all! And thanks so much to everyone who helped me out and gave advice, it was greatly appreciated!
So keep the Disney Magic alive! We can't wait to go back again.
To my dear love, thank you, and I hope this trip meant to you as much as it meant to me. I love you!
