Thinking of going to Hard Rock Cafe on Saturday so ...
Is it any good?
Do you need to book a table?
Is it right that they don't have priority seating at this location?

Any other London restaurants you'd recommend for family of 4 with picky teenagers. We've been to Rainforest Cafe and are getting tired of TGI Fridays.

Thanks for any input.

I have bean to the Hard Rock Cafe in London before. I would book a table on Sunday, as it can get busy. The food is grate, just a bit pricey, but you tell me where in London is not.

Thanks for your input. It's reassuring to know the food is good.

Anyone else have any other suggestions before I make up my mind?

Planet Hollywood. Although the London one is small and I think it needs some updating. The food is good. If not Hard Rock Cafe.

We really like 'Giraffe' which is on the South Bank a short stroll from the London Eye.

The other one with like is Maxwells in Covent Garden, my two of 12 and 15 enjoy eating at them both.

Well, I'm just back from a day out. As it was my birthday yesterday I used emotional blackmail to get the kids to tag along for a day up in London. We spent the morning at the British Museum, and for the first time did the family audio tour narrated by Stephen Fry. It was very good. We had a couple of breaks first so that DS could look at the Greek vases he's studying for AS level Classical Civilizations and secondly to have a drink and some cake.

We had been planning an early tea but by 2:30 we were very hungry so went to the Hard Rock Cafe for a late lunch. I kept my fingures crossed as I hadn't made a booking and we were luckily seated straight away.

The restaurant did seem busy even at that odd time of day. The food was very good but none of us had room for a pudding. I had the pulled pork, very nice but I do prefer Tony Romas version.

The service was good but I was surprised to see a sevice charge on the bill. I was happy to pay it but would have been a tad upset if I hadn't noticed and had tipped again.

After lunch(ish) we wandered along to Waterstones at Piccadilly (fast becoming my favourite bookshop). I managed to get a crafting book I'd been after.

Then it was back to Waterloo and home. I've just got to get my strength up for a day at the "Make it" show tomorrow.
