Hi - I was trying to find tickets for Phantom of the Opera in mid-September (specifically between the 12th and 20th), but was surprised to find that almost no tickets seemed to be available (I was looking on the official Phantom website, ticketmaster, and See). I looked at other dates and there appears to be almost no tickets available for any dates (especially on the weekends) from now to February 2011. Does anyone know if there is something going that's making tickets/seats hard to get?

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. I was looking at ticket options and there a few seats available for almost all performances, but even through See, only a few choices, mostly off to the far side would come up for a given weekend in September (by weekend, I meant Friday night and both Saturday performances).

So what I was trying to find out is if there is something going with the Phantom that is making tickets hard to get? Or are tickets always difficult to come by for this show? I was wondering because the last time I went in 2006 it wasn't that hard to get tickets.

2 months does seem a bit close to be sure of getting good tickets for a popular London show. However, I wonder if it the new "Love Never Dies" show has rekindled interest in the Phantom.

I would go as far to agree with Libby.

With ALW recently opening Love Never Dies, many will be wanting to watch the Phantom again alongside watching the other show. I think that's why there's probably not as many central seating left.

I do hope you get tickets though, it's a wonderful show isn't it? It's my personal favourite of all the musicals.

Thank you for all the information. Just to pass along what I learned. I called See tickets this morning and there were tickets available, but each broker/agency is only allocated a limited number of tickets, so that while one agency may be out of tickets another may not be. In the case of Phantom, the Delfont Mackintosh theater group was almost out of their allotment, but See tickets had a few more left.

Tickets for Phantom have always been a little hard to obtain. At one stage a few years back they had to be booked nearly 6 months in advance:scared1:

The Prince charles is a very small theatre, (just tall) which is why it is always packed.

try looking for the weekday matinee, it can be alot easier to find better tickets when everyone is at work,
a few years ago i was twice able to get centre stalls on a walkup about 10-15 minutes before the curtain went up.

realised why they were still available though, they directly under the chandelier :scared1:
