London Gatwick Clubhouse

My family and I have an upcoming trip at the beginning of May (7 day eastern Caribbean cruise, 6 days Disney Boardwalk and 7 days Beach Club Villas) and have booked the Gatwick Clubhouse.

Has anybdoy ever used it as I am keen to get their views? Also I notice that the deress code is listed as Smart/Casual? I usually like to travel in shorts and a polo or short sleeved shirt. Does anybody know if that is permitted or is it long trousers only?

the clubhouse has very strict dress code.... DJ required for men, and cocktail dresses for ladies. They do have dress down days on mondays where jeans and t-shirt are the only allowed outfits for men.

I meant the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at Gatwick.

seriously, wear whatever you feel comfortable in. You'll see quite a few people in jeans + polo shirts. Its really not formal at all.

Dale winton was in there when we were there in september - he was wearing what can only be described as a cowboy outfit (jeans + cowboy style shirt).

my kids are always in shorts and T's, dh wears jeans and a camp shirt, and I wear jeans and a polo or whatever, never any problems.

I'm assuming you're on the morning flight so get there nice and early and enjoy breakfast - I LOVE the eggs benedict they do, whilst DH is a salmon, eggs and champagne bloke.

The kids love the views out the window watching all the goings on airside and occasionally I get a treatment (back and neck massage) if I can be bothered, but mostly happy to hang out, eat, drink and read the mags and papers.

The bacon sandwiches are probably the best you'll ever have
