lol - typing too fast

Hehe... I was talking to a girl in the splash mountain room and vmk told me that I was typing too fast and I had to wait 20 seconds before I could continue... I guess that's what 3 and a half years of data entry will do to ya...

yes, this is a funny thing. The less you say in a line the more likely you are to get it. I think three quick lines in a row or almost in a row do it. Typing almost complete thoughts in VMK lanquage usually you can get away with that but it is a lot to read at once. It is meant to keep it from scrolling to fast. I actually tested And you can get timed out in a game too but I can't remember if it actually tells you.

It will tell you in the game too that you are timed out-

When I first started playing pirates and dh was trying to help me get my magic pin- when I would die I'd talk lol while he was still shooting pirates


I get timed out a bunch too- but I have tried to watch that I have a small pause between messages at least send two then pause then send more

it is three in quick succession that gets the warning

and yes it is to keep the spammers from annoying everyone

They've gotten me several times on typing too fast. However, when I injured my back that cut down on it for a while. They got me again, though recently. What is bad, is the other player is waiting for you to say something, and you can't!

Ah, you've discovered the joys of the Typing Time Out, or as others call it,
the Typing Speed Trap.

When I want to respond but can't, I use emoticons. Perhaps I should pick
the "death" emoticon as the symbol of "I am dying here, because VMK won't
let me type yet!"

actually its not really typing to fast right. Its how many times you hit enter in a period.

You could type
a <enter>

a <enter>
a <enter>
and time out

ask anyone who has tried to get the last word at close LOL
