"anything in particular you want for christmas?"

hmmm...well, at least he ASKED right...I mean, it's the 22nd and all...but at least he finally ASKED! hehehe

Sounds like my DH. Last year, ON my birthday, he called from work asking if I wanted that "dumb chest" I was looking at. It was a sideboard for the dining room, but same difference. I told him since I only told him about 20 times he could get me that for my birthday that YES I want it. He then says, "why don't you go to the store and pick it up" :confused3 . Ok, honey.

On my tenth anniversary dh gave me the money and told me to go get my anniversary ring. Did a little better on twenth he actually got me a new engagment ring all by his self. lol

Gotta love your DH! Mine actually has done all of his shopping already, except he needs a card and wrapping paper. He is taking the kids out shopping tonight while I go to a party. Me thinks he does not remember how terrible it is to shop during "the most wonderful time of the year."

That is normally my DH. I am shocked that he is done and he wrapped all the gifts himself. Normally he has help from my Mom.

So I get home last night from a thing with DD and I say how much I have left to do and a ton of wrapping left to do. He looks at me and say I wish you would have said something I had a whole wrapping station set up while you were gone, I would have done them for you had you said something. :earseek: I looked at him and said WTH did you do with my DH and who the Heck are you. :confused3

He does this EVERY year...I asked him last weekend (when I went out shopping) if he started yet.

Nope, he says...but I have a PLAN.

It was all about THE PLAN...heheheh

hey - he got all he needed...he has the luxury of going during work hours (VERY lax policy at his office...score for him...)

ya know what I really want for christmas? My car washed...seriously - it's FILTHY...maybe i can convince him to take it to his firehouse and wash it for me tonight while I bake cookies. heheheh

:rotfl2: One of my Christmas gifts was DH taking my car to get the oil changed and the tires rotated. I have been so busy that I have not had any time and it really needed to be done. It was one of my very favorite gifts!

My DH is an anomoly of nature. He was done shopping weeks ago...and I'm pretty sure I got something sparkly.

My DH went out shopping for me last night with his friends. When he told me this 2 weeks ago I said "nothing like waiting til the last minute". His cronies are totally unreliable. He got to the mall at 4:30 (the appointed meeting time) and shopped for two hours while he waited for them show. When they finally met up, they spent the next 3 hours in the bar at the mall. If he hadn't shopped first, I would be getting squat for Christmas!

Stinkerbelle - he went to the mall in Trumbull, had never been there before and thought it was awful! Do you ever go to Danbury? That's a great mall!

I live in Westchester now, but was born & raised in CT. :goodvibes

I can one up you all! I got online (at DH's request) and ORDERED my own tickets for Wicked.

But I got the last laugh, my Mom asked for the receipt and is giving it to us for our gift...he is back at square one..and has asked me to go shopping with him tonight....right after he told me it was hard to shop for me and that us girls have it so easy with gift buying...

I work close to the trumbull mall, so i'll run over there on my lunch hour.
Don't go to danbury too often...kinda a haul for me...I like West Farms best personally. :)

My husband and I have a little different game.

I go to the store and peruse the shelves, racks, etc...and then I walk away and he buys me what I've looked at.

It's the funniest thing. I walked by the 8 megapixel cameras last week. I batted my eyelashes. I picked up one or two and then set them down. Then I walked away.

Our digital camera is a 2 megapixel. We bought it the week I registered at the DIS...one month before our first Disney cruise. It cost a small fortune at the time. The photos are good, but I would really like to take some that can be printed at 11 x 14".... :earboy2:

To be fair to my DH...he said "anything PARTICULAR"...he already did purchase something for me (it's wrapped up in the guest room...and is shaped just like the gap gift card that he wrapped for his brother...heheh...not complaining, love the gap, working on my "omg I'm so surprised face")

Rafiki (x3)...that's too funny! Hope you see a nice camera under the tree this year!

Mine asks me what I want evey year....even after I write a couple things down for him :rolleyes2

One year I went through catalogs, marked pages, sizes, colors, everything, all he had to do was pick up the phone and call (before internet). He complained that I was "hard" to shop for, ok, you are just lazy I think :rotfl2: .

I did that with the Tiffany catalog...

he didn't appreciate that too much! heheheh

Your DH is doing better than mine. Last year he called me at work on December 24th from the store asking what I wanted for Christmas.

ETA: I've also tried the catalog thing. I found a nice ring I wanted so I wrote" Valentines Day (Feb. 14th) Ring Size 6 1/2 !!! :) He still called me when he was placing the order online to make sure it was the right one. Good grief! And when the box came in the mail, he set it on the coffee table... I had to remind him to give it to me on Valentine's Day. :rotfl:

I actually have to post and give DH some credit, I just got off the phone with him and I hear our 3 year old saying "Daddy, where is mommy's box" :flower: HA he did buy me present..on his own!!!
