Has anyone out there purchased the GPS Locator for childeren? It is from Wherify.

I thought it would be great for being in such a big place like Disney, as well as for general use. It just seems like there are more and more freaks looking to snatch a child. I don't want to go over board, but I was thinking it might be worth it.

I don't know where to get one, but here in my town, an autistic boy is missing for the 3rd time in the past month and this very kind of item would be preventing yet another huge search & rescue for him!!! For the average, everyday kid, however, it may be going overboard IMHO.

You would need to be assured of national coverage. If you have Nextel cellular service, you could sign up for Total Connect and download www.ulocate.com. Of course if your kids could handle a cell phone you wouldn't need a gsp bracelet, unless you put the phone in a zippered pocket.

I know all about that Millis boy. Not to be insensitive, but you think they would be watching him like a hawk now. I grew up in Medway (you know, West Millis). I did 10 years on the Medway FD, and now live in Franklin.
Did you goto the Muster?

Anyway, it would be great if you could rent one of the GPS things for trips like going to WDW.

Tim~ They should have put one on him before he left Children's! Medway FD had a bunch of guys over helping us with S & R efforts. The total cost of that whole operation was in the neighborhood of $750,000!! Can you even imagine?!? Hopefully, he'll be found alive and then he'll either be put in a secure facility or have one of the bracelets placed on him!
