I just finished watching a series that I think some of you here would enjoy. I watched the shows on Netflicks, but it is a Logo TV series called First Comes Love. All of the couples went to Toronto to get married from states which did not allow same-sex marriage.

The series is very emotional because in addition to their wedding plans the couples talk about their personal lives, such as a flight attendant who knew all of the crew that died on American 11 on 9/11 and things of that nature.

Is that the one that is hosted by the Canadian comedienne Elvira? Her parents are from Romania I think and she's hilarious! I'm not gay and I loved that (or maybe this is a different show/same theme) show! My DD was 4 at the time and she only liked the weddings with two women-more pretty dresses! But I like the personal stories and am floored when family doesn't show up and I cry when family that was initially hesitant do come.

Yes, Jessica, this is the same series. It is touching in parts. The battle for same-sex marriage is still going on here in California. I just don't buy the argument that homosexual relationships are wrong because they can't have children. The world is a better place with both homosexuals and heterosexuals just as it would be a lesser place without both men and women if we had no need for procreation.

Why shouldn't everyone be able to have a chance at a legal committed relationship? I really don't get why people think it tears at their heterosexual lives. My DH and I have never felt that our heterosexual marriage was going to come crashing down because two people of the same sex got hitched! Same with adoptions. It's better for a child to languish in a foriegn orphanage or be bounced to foster homes than be with two parents of the same sex? I've seen Chinsese orphanages. I think some of these people should look at those children who have nothing and then decide where they stand. Anyway, I do love that show! And my DH and I quote Elvira's standup. We love her take on her mother!
