Logistics of upgrading a 4-day to Enchant Key

I know these passes are new and we're still a little unsure of how they will work but I have a scenario I want to discuss. We're planning to visit President's week in Feb, most likely 2/21-2/24. If we buy 4-day passes and then upgrade them to the Enchant pass on the last day we'd use the 4-day pass on 2/21 which is blocked out on the Enchant Pass. Would that be cool or would they say you can't upgrade because you used your pass on a blockout day? Also could you walk me through the upgrade process. We've had DL APs before but we just bought them straight up, no upgrade. I'm a little confused how the process works.

You used to be able to buy an AP on a blackout day and they would give you an exemption for that day, but I have heard that is no longer the case post-covid times. I would wait to upgrade until the end of the day on your last day, right before you leave. You can do it right from the app.

Because it's a blockout day, you'll want to wait until you've done your last park entry on the last day and then use the upgrade button on the app. The process is just hitting that button and following the directions, basically.

Can you do it in person and not on the app, guest services maybe? I ask because we're DVC and we should get $20 off the enchant pass plus we have a bunch of gift cards I'd want to use.

What about doing the upgrade in the app on day 2 since only the first day is blocked out? That way they can use discounts and any other perks. Do you have to do it the last day or is there a reason to wait?
