Going to be flying into Logan Airport this Friday and will be departing on Monday. Just wondering does Logan have an Airport Improvement fee that a person would pay before departure? I know some have counters for it, and others incorporate it into ticket price but was wondering how it goes in Boston.

Thanks,
Daniel

Daniel,

I just flew out and in of Logan over Columbus Day weekend (October 11-15) and we did not have to pay to leave the airport. I am pretty sure if they are hitting us up, it is incorporated into the price of the tix.

Have a great time in our 'Fair City'

Debbie

I had a trip into/out of Logan in early October. I did not pay anything at the airport; if there was a charge, it was calculated into my ticket issued by United.

A word of warning: beware the "Big Dig" in Boston. I allowed an extra 1/2 hour travel time when getting back to the airport to take into account all the road construction at the airport and around downtown.

Here's a link that may help you: http://www.massport.com/logan/

Daniel,
I noticed you are from Canada. In the US we just shove all the extras into your airfare. I have paid to get out of town in some places in Europe and in Bermuda however!

I fly out of Logan all the time. I was out this Monday and back today. The fees that are incurred by the airports are included in your airfare. You won't have to pay when leaving.

I've gone to some cities in the U.S. where I would have gladly paid to get out of town. No names though. ;) :bounce:  :bounce: :D :bounce:

We may not have to pay to leave Logan, but man, it sure is hard to avoid falling into 'the big dig' hole!! Take a patience pill and allow extra time. Enjoy.

Thanks for the advice everyone.
Many Canadian airports also have the price included in the airfare, however the airport that we are flying out of has a counter where you pay a $10 AIF prior to boarding. They simply say that they could not work it out with the airlines that serve the airport.

Thanks again,
Daniel
