I'm loews first platinum, have never gotten an upgrade...we're at RPR next month, I'll try for an upgrade. What is the LoewsFirst Suite? How likely is it that this room will be available? I've also read somewhere that you can pay $35.00 for an upgrade. Thanks for any info.

If you are platinum, you should have gotten the upgrade at the time of booking...... check the info here and call them back.

The upgrade for platinum is to a King Suite which sleeps 3.and should be applied at time of booking like tlinus said.the $35 upgrade is for Gold members if they are available at checkin.

I am platinum and more times than not get an upgrade to a suite (unless I'm paying the annual passholder rate which does not qualify for the upgrade or welcome gift). However, if there are no suites available which has happened a few times, they will not upgrade you at all. I don't understand why they won't give you an upgrade at least to a water view, etc. as they would if you were gold. It's either a suite upgrade if you're platinum or nothing!!

I understand there is only 1 upgrade...I have 2 connecting rooms booked...Wonder what they'll do..I have standard booked for both rooms..Don't really feel like paying extra fee to waterview for 1 room...

I think I'll take my chances and hope for an upgade for both rooms at time of checkin...If not, oh well. So fun being at RPH anyway....

I called loews (again). This time I was told that the platinum upgrade is to the king suite, but no suites are available for my dates. I then looked at the loews website, put in my dates and, lo and behold, a king suite was available.
I fired off an email to loews and got a very quick reply saying that they would notify the hotel of my upgrade. Unfortunately, I still don't feel confident that the suite will really be availablr when we get there. Is it just me or is this a bit confusing?

Just call again and tell them about the internet and tell them about your email. I would get it straightened out before I went. I am pretty sure that the website is real time, so it is possible that there wasn't anything available when you called.

Just as I was about to get really frustrated with the whole upgrade thing, I actually got a call from the Rooms Manager at RPR. She could not have been nicer and put in my upgrade to the king suite while I was on the phone with her. Now if I don't get the upgrade at check-in I at least have her name and phone number to go to. Hopefully, the suite will be available.

You'll be fine now!!!
