We are going to the Royal Pacific resort in Aug 2005 and am just filling in the form to become a Loews member . The form asks for me to tick which type of welcome gift I would to like , ie cookies and milk or fruit or bottles of water or wine etc ...But there also is a box that says '' regional gift ''. Does anyone have any idea what this might be ?
Can anyone give me any advice as to which gift might be most useful for us . we have a 17 yr old daughter and a 16 year old son . Husband and I prefer cups of tea to wine/beer. So any ideas ?
Reading the entries in this forum , I noticed some of you got gifts given to the teenagers/ kids every night at turndown. would this be part of the loews membership ?

The regional gift at RPR is a small, dark, square woven basket filled with inedible Polynesian candies and a nice shell with the RPR logo carved into it. The turndown service sometimes includes trinkets and is not connected to the Loews 1st but is a service for Club and the suite guests. Club level offers beer and wine nightly as well as continental breakfast, snacks and cookies and milk at night but Club has a price tag that I feel more than covers the offerings unless you have a larger party. Loews 1st welcome gifts used to be prolific but have become more difficult to receive unless you pay rack rate or only request the AAA discount. I prefer to get the deeper APH discount and buy my own cookies and milk or inedible candies (the shell is nice though).::yes::

Dear Motherfletcher
thank you for your reply . the wooden box sounds like what I shall go for . it would make a lovely souvenier. we are going to be at RPR for 10 nights . 5 nights in a standard room and 5 nights in a club room . i am SO excited i cannot wait .
the last time we went there was in 2003 and we had the most BRILLIANT time. We did not even go to the Disney parks. fortunately for us , Disneyland paris is very close by and we have already been five times ! But we do not have the lovely Florida weather !
thanks again motherfletcher !
