Loew's First upgrade question

We are statying at HRH 5/25-5/31 and have booked club level. We are Loew's Platinum level.

I found out from this board to call Lowe's and have our Hilton Honors VIP Gold transferred to Lowe's platinum without staying a single night in a Loew's hotel. Thanks!!!!!

My question is since we are already staying club level and have four in our party, will there be an upgrade? I called and faxed in a request for a queen deluxe room on the club level, but wasn't sure if there was anything else I could do. Thanks for any advice you could give!

I called Loew's customer service at 1-800-563-9712. They asked me to fax my last Hilton Honors credit card statement showing that I was VIP Gold. It took a day or two to go into effect. I called them back to confirm that I was upgraded to Platinum level. Good luck!

Platinum level can confirm a suite upgrade at the time of booking but HRH upgrades are difficult to come by. Also, and others may correct me, I believe your party is too large for the King Suite upgrade.

Since you already have club and want to keep club, platinum won't do you much good. The upgrade for Platinum peeps at HRH is to a King Suite. They only hold up to 3 people, so you are not eligible for the upgrade with 4 people. You'd think they'd offer you a club room (at a standard room price) and give you club in lieu of the suite upgrade, but they won't. Club unfortunately is not included as part of the LF upgrades. Also, unlike WDW, you do not automatically get club level when booking a suite at any of the Loews properties.

To give you an idea: we were plantinum for the last several of our RPR trips. We had to pay the regular AAA/APH rates for our club rooms, just as if we were not platinum. A deficiency in the LF program, IMHO.

P.S. Wanted to add: if you want a King Suite upgrade at HRH, they are hard to come by and you should book well in advance for that upgrade. They only have a few King Suites (I want to say it's < 20), so getting one at the last moment is hit or miss. It's much easier to get suite upgrades at RPR and PBH. .
