loews first member benefits

i was reading in the universal ultimate guide that i got my nephew that loews first members get into the gym at the resort for free. i just switched from paying rack rates to using my annual pass. i know that i do not get the welcome gift with this new rate but does it also mean that i do not get into the gym free? my nephew was excited about going since he is now old enough.

They said yes and let me use the gym with Loews 1st on Memorial Day at RPR. PBH was a little hesitant but let me right in when they discovered I was on their club level. HRH let me in but I had a charge on my bill.

We stayed at HRH last year with APH rates and got no Loews benefits, therefore I had to pay for the gym - $20 for 3 days or $8 a day were the prices Sept 04.

I have always just showed my card at the gym and they let me right in no matter what rate I was paying.
