So we decided to drive this year instead of fly. Since our youngest needs to pay for a seat and we just can't find flight prices we like I am taking a deep breath and going for it. Luckily we live just south of Richmond, VA so we miss all the hassle of traffic issues in Baltimore and DC.
Google maps claims it is approximately a 12 hour drive. We had pondered doing 8 hours and 4 hours arriving midday Sunday our check in day. Instead we have now decided to leave the afternoon prior and doing 6 hours and 6 hours arriving outside Disney late Saturday so that we can check in as early as possible and hit the parks first thing on Sunday morning.
We found a great rate for our large party at the Caribe Royale near WDW for the night before but now I need a relatively current recommendation for overnight lodging for the St George or Walterboro exits in SC. I am looking to for relatively cheap, clean and a continential breakfast would be a plus.
Anyone?
