lodging in NC

I need some help. Driving from PA to WDW in June. We are leaving late in the day and would like a nice and inexpensive place to stay at about the midway point of NC on I95. We thought Selma would be about halfway. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks...

At least you can figure out some hotels along I95 and can then look in a AAA book to find out more info. Or you can then post here and someone can check for you if you don't have AAA. We're going to order a revised copy of an I95 book that lists all the exits with fast food places, etc, to help when we drive down to Orlando in April.

I just booked the Holiday Inn off I-95 for March. I used the entertainment card and got a price of $48.98 plus tax. Also, I learned if you sign up for their priority club when you check in you make sure they have your member number and they will give you 2 vouchers for breakfast the next morning. The hotel is pretty new and they have and indoor pool and I believe they accept pets.

There are many, many chain motels all along the I 95 exits. I cannot name a specific one, but stop at a rest area or Welcome Center and pick up one of those coupon books (roomsaver is the name of one). They have bargain coupons, little maps and all the exits marked and you can probably get a really good deal. These are Walk-In prices, but usually you can get a room, without dificulty unless it's a Saturday night. Their prices range from about $30 up. Remember, if you're just staying overnight, you just need a place to sleep. Probably a pool, fitness room, etc. are unimportant, and therefore, not worth paying for.
