Locking luggage?

It also allows me to answer the questions at the airport truthfully: "Did you pack your bag yourself?" "Has anyone had access to your bag since you packed it?"

They haven't asked those questions in years.

It's a losing battle. You would have to keep your luggage with you at all times.

If someone really wants to get in your stuff they will. Locks only keep fairly honest people out. I keep anything really important with me in my carry on.

When we take the AutoTrain I am giving someone something worth a lot more than anything that I have in my checked luggage. I am giving them the keys to my car along with all my luggage except my carry-on. I do not see my car till the next morning. I have to laugh when I read the paper they give you. They say to take any loose change and to lock your glove compartment & trunk. If they have the key they have access to all those things and if you have an SUV you don't have a trunk. If they are going to steal a couple of dollars of loose change, should they even be working there?

Guess you have to have faith in mankind if you are going to travel. Otherwise you might as well stay home. But then again things can happen at home to. Locks can only do so much.
