Lockers by Water Rides

We're staying onsite, but was wondering if any of the water rides have lockers by them. I don't want to miss these rides, but I don't want have to take the time to go back to the room to change into dry clothes. I was hoping to wear a backpack with a change of clothes that I could put in a locker when I go on a water ride, like the rapids at Animal Kingdom or the log ride in Magic Kingdom. Are there lockers near the water rides to store a change of clothes? And for that matter, are there lockers by many rides to store a backpack while you actually ride the ride? I'm assuming you can't take a backpack on the rollercoaster and other rides. Thanks for any help!

To my knowledge, there is not. There are lockers at a main part of the park, but not specifically by water rides that I can think of. The lockers near the entrance have a fee as well.

As for non-water rides, there was never one I want on where I couldn't fit my bag in between my legs or in the pouch on the seat in front of me. The only one I was nervous on was Rock n Rollercoaster but it ended up being fine. So I wouldn't be concerned about that.

As for water rides, the only one to my knowledge where you may need to change after could be Kali River Rapids at AK. There is a small compartment in the center of the raft where you can store your bag, however I have never used it so I can't say if it's large enough to store a backpack. If I were you, I'd try to do this one last in the day on your way back to your hotel, if you're not willing to rent a locker. We got a little wet on Splash, but dried off quick.

Kali river has a bucket in the middle with plastic over it, so your belongings stay dry. But i can almost guarantee you wont stay dry on Kali. You could always rent a locker near the entrance. At least you'd only have to go to the entrance and not all the way back to your hotel.

There is a small compartment in the center of the raft where you can store your bag, however I have never used it so I can't say if it's large enough to store a backpack.

It's not a very big compartment, especially when you consider how many people can fit in one boat. I wear a poncho on Kali and hold my backpack on my lap underneath the poncho.

I tend to go overboard when it comes to water rides. I had a bad experience a few years ago when I had my phone with me, no plastic bag AND randomly no bin in the middle of our boat (still not sure why as all the others had one!) Anyway, what I have found works is making sure I have a poncho with me, in case it's too cold out or I'm not in the mood to get wet, etc. I also bring a plastic bag to wrap my bag in and then inside my bag I ziploc a change of clothes, cell phone, camera, etc. I tend to wear fairly lightweight clothes like cotton skirts and shirts in the park, so a change fits in my moderate size bag without taking up too much room. I have found the rapid rides tend to be worse than the flume ones in terms of wetness so I always save Kali for the end of the day!

I agree about Kali, it's the only ride I have ever gotten really wet on. I would just skip it, or go at the end of the day. I found that ride to be really short and not worth the trouble.

Yeah, when I rode Kali I was the last one in and all the spots for the bags were taken. Luckily I had brought a poncho along so I just wrapped it around my bag and held it in my lap. Well, not that it would have mattered that one time, I was the only one who didn't get wet! Just a few tiny drops on my poncho covered bag, but I was dry.

Anyway, I'd recommend bringing something to wrap your bag in, in case there's no room for it on the compartments. I think the locker would be a waste of money and time, as wrapping the bag works just fine.

KALI= WET!!! Even with a poncho on, the water sloshes into your seat and under your poncho. If I ride this at all (I havent for the past few trips) I always do it as we are leaving the park. I cant stand to be soaked down to my drawers--ewwww! I would also change out of my tennis shoes into flip flops for this ride. I would leave the flip flops in the bottom of the stroller. Nothing worse for the feet than wet socks and shoes.
Splash Mtn is a ride that I rarely get wet on. Your chances of getting wet increase if you are in the front 2 rows. I try and get in the back 2. You shouldnt need to change clothes from this one
You can take your backpack on the rollercoasters, but the bags you put them in are not that big. I usually put the straps of my bag through my feet/legs or put my arms through the straps and hold it in my lap.
