Recently we moved to FL. and the first thing we did was buy the FL.Resident's pass to US/IOA and we have been going every week for several months now and enjoying it so much. One of my favorite rides is "MIB" and was heading in on our first day, when a very nice young man told me I'd have to lock up my very small...about the size of a cigerette pack,bag that I was wearing across my chest. I said that I would put in in the mess bag at my feet and he informed me that they no longer have those bags available on the rides. When we came home I called Costumer Service and asked about the bags and told them about my expierence. I received no answer about what happened to the bags,but was told that my bag strap might get twisted and hurt me while on the ride......interesting because two woman in our ride had on long dresses and both had on shawls that hung out over the edge of the car,yet nothing was done about that as a possible safety issue.Any possible explanation as to why the mess bags are gone and safety issues seem to be random?

From what I heard from various sources, problems arose from bags being thrown from the vehicle which would lead to a complete restart of the ride and people getting hit with loose bags. I remember the nets behind the seats to stow stuff...I put a pair of sunglasses in one and they broke! Anytime you go on one of the attractions that do not allow carry ons with an over the shoulder bag, you will not be able to ride with it. But remember...it's only on those few rides that do not allow carry ons.
