locker question

how do you pay for lockers throughout the park, just want to be prepared....quarters? singles? visa?

Remember that a lot of the lockers are free for the length of time you are in line. If the ride requires you to use a locker, it will be free for the time stated as the queue length plus a little bit.

You can pay however you want.

The all day rental lockers take coins, bills, or credit cards. They are $8 or $10 depending on the size. As Damo said, the rides that require you to store your items are free while you are riding. Those are one time locker rentals only for that ride. The "all day" lockers can be opened and closed as often as you want during the day and are $8 and $10 for the entire day.

Are the lockers at the Universal parks secure? I'm thinking of using one at Wet n Wild and I read somewhere online (might be false!) that they do get broken into. Wouldn't be good to lose a card on vacation! Thanks!!

Newbie questions here...First time going to US and IOA in late April (never been out of the WDW bubble before on last 3 trips) very excited

I now understand from reading these forums that backpacks are not allowed on some of the rides at Universal. Is there a link somewhere to the list of which rides. Are the free lockers at the entrance to these specific rides?
Sounds like it might be a hassle, but I think we will need a backpack.
Are fanny packs allowed?

Yes they are safe if you follow instructions and use them properly.
