Locker question regarding the water rides

I know that free lockers are available for the thrill rides. I read this on the website for the water rides.
So they don't provide free lockers for those rides?

Additional lockers are available at select attractions inside Universal Studios and Universal's Islands of Adventure® for $4.00 for the first 90 minutes; $3 for each additional hour; with a $20.00 per day maximum. These lockers are available at the entrance of the following attractions:

  • Jurassic Park River Adventure®
  • Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls®
  • Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges
Thanks!

Mind you, if you want to save money, you can use the lockers at the front of the park.
When we were in USO last month, we found a section of lockers that cost us $5 for a full day. I'm not sure why the rate was 50% of normal, but that was a deal we couldn't afford to miss!

Just FYI, you can take items with you on all of those rides....it is a matter of getting said things wet that may lead you to a locker. All rides that you cannot take anything with you have free lockers available.

Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges is the ride that completely soaks you from all directions, and it actually has a waterproof compartment on the ride vehicle where you can store belongings to keep them dry.

The other two rides don't soak you quite as bad. I think you can find a way to keep stuff fairly dry even if you take it with you. (Put belongings under a poncho, shirt, or in a plastic shopping bag that can be obtained from any of the gift shops, behind your back, or even tucked up under the edge of the ride vehicle. No locker required.

I have to disagree on the rides "do not soak you as bad", at least in terms of Ripsaw as it seems when I go on that ride I get soaked. Perhaps, I may not have practically a waterfall hitting me every other second, but you get pounded by water with each time you go down one of those little dives and you especially get it in the end, and even more so if they have people actually using the water guns that shoot you as you're getting off the ride.

Perhaps the back isn't as bad? But you still get pretty wet as a whole no matter where you sit. Normally, if I plan on going on rides and are worried about certain items (which is essentially just my phone as it's electronic) I normally bring a plastic bag with me and put anything I find sensitive in there to protect it.

Yes. You can still get soaked on the other two, but it seems more hit or miss. Sometimes I'm soaked, sometimes I'm mostly dry. I'm always soaked on the barges.

If I put something in a poncho or plastic bag on the other two rides, it stays dry. However, I've worn ponchos on the barge ride and still been completely soaked as it comes from below. Sorry, I probably wasn't clear. I wasn't trying to imply you couldnt get soaked, just that you could take steps to protect your stuff and be ok without a locker. Obviously, you and the clothes you are wearing are probably going to get wet.
