i was reading that you cannot bring anything on the rides with you, it has to be stowed in a locker. Are these lockers in the cue? Before you enter the line? Does this include such items as cell phones? Cameras? Thanks!

It depends on the ride if you can bring it with you. If you can't bring it with you, then there are free lockers available close to the line. (You can only use them for a certain amount of time free).

lockers are well marked.

look for the gobs of people standing in one section near the ride.
that's where the lockers are.....

There are only a couple of rides that require you to store your phones. Those are the coasters which may turn your phones into projectiles. The coasters Rip Ride Rockit, Dueling Dragons, and probably Hulk when it reopens, don't allow you to bring anything at all on them.

You'd stop by the lockers before entering the queue, they will be somewhere adjacent to the ride. You won't miss them. You lock the locker with your fingerprint so its easy to throw a bag in there and then retrieve it when you come out. Adds maybe a minute on either end. There are several rides that require you to store bags in lockers, but on some of those rides, you can leave items in your pocket or leave on a three prong fanny pack. For the rides Damo mentions above, you can't have anything on your person at all and everything must go in the locker. Lockers are free.

i usually write the locker number on my hand as i usually forget which one i used.

you need the locker number in order to open it once you return to pick up your belongings.

in regards to the Hulk, before the renovations, they required all loose articles to be placed in lockers.

lockers are free for this ride.

Lol......we take a picture of the number if we have to use a locker........brain like a pea at times!

And do you put your phone in the locker then.........lol

Thinking RRR

Lol.......yep...........only it was real camera as we don't have phones!!! You only do that once tho......that was why I mentioned brain like a pea.........

How is the security with these lockers? I had heard there were some issues with people approaching security after people stowed their items (they watched, knew what went in)then described to security what was in there and the locker would not open....then security opened it for them:furious:

i read a couple of posts where people went to the TM and asked them to open their locker.
One poster said they couldn't remember their number, another poster said they could not get the thumb print to be accepted.

TM in both cases asked for an ID before she could open the locker
Both posters said their id's were in the locker.....

End of story, TM had to see the ID of the person once the locker was opened by her.
No ID, not allowed to remove items from the locker.

Sounds secure enough for me if ID is still required when a TM has to be involved.

We had to have a locker opened for us once and they definitely did ask to see photo ID when I retrieved my purse from the locker.

Can someone refresh my memory and list the rides that you cannot take anything on the ride and put in locker? I saw it somewhere before but can't remember where......

P.S. This is coming from person who thought taking pic of locker was brilliant...until someone burst the bubble by saying your phone will be in the locker! LOL!

If you have on cargo shorts/capris and everything is zipped or buttoned in do you still have to use lockers?

Yes you do on RRR, Hulk and Dueling Dragons. Everything must be removed and stored.

You cannot take anything on Rip Ride Rocket, the Hulk (I assume the same will stand when it reopens), and Dueling Dragons; like pcstang said.

Large items (backpacks, purses, waist packs without 3-prong clasps) need to go in a locker for a few other rides as well. I believe those are: Men in Black, Gringotts, Forbidden Journey.

I can't remember on the Mummy (we always have one that sits out and holds bulky items.

Also, I have not ridden Dr Doom, so I don't know about that one.

The time we couldn't get our locker open (don't let kids set the fingerscan, folks!) and asked for help, they wanted ID. Alas, our ID was inour lanyards which were around our necks. So there was nothing in the locker that would match the ID.

But my camera was in there, and we let the TM know that we could show pictures of our son from that day, wearing what he was wearing. She agreed that that would be acceptable, opened it, and I scrolled to the pictures!

Thank goodness for digital cameras; that would have been harder if we were film people still. ;)

I am a little OC. I am always the one who does the lockers...I wipe the finger scan before opening on with my T-shirt tail, scan the same finger every time...when I come back, I wipe the scanner again before putting my finger on it. I have never had an issue with any locker opening for me (except the time a guy bumped me when I did the first scan.)
I think the 2 biggest problems with those scanners are that people forget which finger they used (or who scanned their finger), and that hundreds of people use the scanner and I've never seen anyone but me wipe off others' prints, which can cause a blurry print scan.

Mummy is same as MIB, Gringotts, and FJ. Dr. Doom has a place to put your stuff just inside of door where you then get into your seat.

Only issue we had in Jan was that Gringotts went down for a bit (maybe 15 min) while we in line. By the time we were done, the "free" period of time was up and locker wanted to charge us to get our things. Told someone working there and they adjusted time so it was indeed "free".
