Locked A/C

First time in dozens of trips that our A/c’s is locked and will not go lower. Is this a new thing? Old Key West.

Do you mean after doing the “hack” to override it?

Most new thermostats are locked and need the override, which is model specific.

When I walked into my Poly Tower Studio I actually had to turn the thermostat up. It was frigid in there.

The thermostats can be a pain, some either not going low enough &/or shutting off when no motion in the room (like when you’re sleeping). Look up the model online and see if there’s a youtube video or recipe for overriding. I appreciate they are trying to conserve energy, still don’t like to be uncomfortable on vacation.

We were at OKW last month. We thought our a/c wasn't working but we were told that the a/c shuts off when there is no movement in the room. It was a bit stuffy when we first came in from the parks, but as soon as we moved about the room it kicked-on and worked great. We called maintenance and they explained the issue. The guy offered to override the setting but that it would revert back to the other setting after a day or so. Since he was standing right there, we had him override the setting, I don't think we had any further issues with it.

Mine at CCV was locked for the heat! I was freezing at night. So crazy since I was so hot all day long
