Location of public beach in Cocoa Bch

Does anyone know where the public beach is located in Cocoa Beach? We are going to try to spend a few hours there on our off day... kids want to see ocean and play in the sand (probably won't do much swimmimg) I also want to go to Ron Jons for gift for 19yr old DS! Is there a public area near Ron Jons? Where is a good place to eat around there as well? TIA

When you get to Cocoa Beach, just look for a public parking lot on the road that runs parallel to the ocean. There are several parking areas that access beach areas. Sorry, I don't know where Ron Jons is.

There is a public beach called Jetty Park. It is near the pier. There are lifeguards on duty and a concession stand. It was always clean and family orientated when we visited.

Ron Jons is located at 4151 N. Atlantic Ave. It is a huge building open 24 hours a day on the ocean side. It is maybe a 5 minute ride from Jetty Park.

There is a very good Italian resturant next to the Raddison Resort on N. Atlantic Ave in Cocoa Beach, it is called Kelseys. The service was great as well as the food when we visited in April of this year.

There is parking just before Ron Jon's at the beach. I think its a "public park" there are BBQs and picnic benches there as well. You can walk to Ron Jons from there.

Thanks everyone! Only spending a few hours there but didn't want to spend all my time driving around looking for a spot!
