Considering purchasing DVC. We will need wheelchair accessible rooms with roll in shower. Sometimes studio, possibly 1 or 2 bedrooms at times if bringing guests. Is there information available as to the location of the wheelchair accessible rooms and what type of room they are. I would like to see the possibilities of where we might end up based on the type of room we are limited to before investing that kind of money. Do you know if this is available? Thank you.

This info is available on DisBoards if you know where to look for it. At the top of the DVC Resorts forum, there is a post called "DVC Resource Center". Click on that and follow where it leads. There are some FAQs there, followed by information on individual resorts. Go to the resort you are interested in. You should see a link to "Villas and Views". There you will find maps of each floor of the resort, with Handicapped Access rooms marked.

Every DVC resort has HA units, studios, 1, 2 and 3 Bedrooms, not all DVC resorts have 3 BR and the Poly only has studios and the bungalows. Typically scattered throughout each resort.

We have stayed at BLT & SSR & Kidani & BWV and our 1 or 2 bedroom roll in shower rooms have always been very close to the elevator. At BWV in a standard view the room is the first down the hallway past the elevator. We have also stayed 3 bedroom at Jambo. It was the first GV oppsite the pool. At SSR the GV roll in shower room was a short walk from the elevator. BLT and Kidani do not have GV with roll in showers.

Do you have a link to take me to the Resorts "DVC Resource Center", I have looked and looked and I must be looking over it, I cannot find it. Thank you.

Some resorts have maps showing them and others don't. In general in the older resorts that are one building they tend to be nearer to the elevators.

BLT doesn't have the roll in shower in all views - just the Lakeview but it has a partial view of MK.

BWV - for the Boardwalk view category there is one 2BR lock-off with roll in shower in both the 1BR side and the studio side. It is on the 2nd floor above the Screen door general store and a bit odd in that it has a solid wall for the balcony although the balcony is a very large one. Since none of the Boardwalk view rooms are right next to the elevator it's a bit of a walk, but the Pool/Garden view and Standard view HA rooms there are just around the corner from the elevator.

Another thing I've noticed is that OKW does not have any dedicated 2BR's with roll-in showers, only lock-offs although since the studios there all have 2 beds it the difference that it would be at other resorts.
