Welcome to the boards Lady Jennifer!! It's nice to have you along!
If you can afford a verandah, go for it. If that's not in your budget, try for a cat #9 with the large port hole. You will all be so busy with the onboard activities that you probably won't spend much time in your cabin.
Have a great time planning your cruise. You have certainly come to the right place to get your questions answered!! Ask away!!
Hi there!!! I would sleep anywhere on the ship. Just to be there is MAGICAL!
We booked a CAT 10, deluxe inside stateroom. There are four of us, dh, me, dd's 11 & 8.
We had a CAT 11 for three of us last year. The 10 will be better because of the split bath.
I would love a verandah, but it is out of the question financially! So, I am happy with my CAT 10. Really we weren't in the room much at all on our last cruise anyway.
Of course, my preference is also a verandah, but I agree that just to get on the ship is the important thing.
Maybe you can try for one of the SPH rooms that are billed as a Cat. 10 & have a huge porthole to look out of. Also, maybe you can get one of the ones with the least obstructed view. I guess you'd have to check to see how many are allowed in the room that you want.
Although I prefer the plexiglas verandahs, I, myself, would feel more comfortable with a Navigator's verandah with the young girls, but you know your own children.
(P.S. - just saw it's your first post & want to welcome you to the DIS. Also, wanted to tell you that you can go to www.castawayclub.com & check out the rooms)
