Location for a Chicagoland Meetup

Well I live about 5 minutes from Old Orchard and voted for Woodfield on the poll, but I personally do think that Oak Brook is the most central. It is due West of the city while Woodfield is NW. I'm meeting up with a friend from way South in a few weeks (I think she lives in Palos Park) and we agreed that Oak Brook is a fair and equal distance between us.

I live in Wisconsin, but I have been to a few Chicago meets. Woodfield works best for me since it is close.

You should be able to vote just by clicking on the poll, or so I believe.

Before it gets closed, I voted for Woodfield as it's very close to where I live. But....I'm not adverse to traveling to Oakbrook, Yorktown or even Gurnee Mills. As others have said, Old Orchard & Northbrook court don't afford direct, easy access from the Schaumburg area. JMO.


If DVC does another holiday event downtown, we will be there. It was a lot of fun last year.

It's looking to me like Oakbrook won by a close shave.

I'm thinking about the 2nd weekend in November. How does that look to folks?

Also, I'm not too familar with Oakbrook Mall (I've only been there once), what restaurants are available? I know that Woodfield has a Rainforest Cafe, but don't know what Oakbrook has.

Maggiano's Little Italy and Papagus Greek Taverna are particularly good for groups, but there are many other good choices too.
