75 and clouds passing through on strong 40mph wind. The wind was whipping up forest fires all over the place from some lighting in the middle or the night, last night. About 4 it calmed down and the sky was clear. No microbursts.

Officially, the first day of Spring in Melbourne....temperature of mid 50's. Sunny with showers expected later. Hay fever season!

Today was very variable. Sometimes very windy, coudy, sunny, calm. It rained about 15 minutes over a light period and heavy period. Some lightning nearby and far away.

Weather.com says it's 95 deg right now at Disneyland. Isn't it only 11:30? Glad we're not at the parks today. Reports say it should start cooling off after today. Hope they're right!

Cool morning and smoky enough I thought a forest fire may of been near. The sound of a light aircraft making the rounds made me think it was a spotter look for the fire.

Around noon a slow breeze moved the smoke away and it was mostly clear. No fire in the forest near me.

It did warm up to 74 and a few showers around but never over me.

Stayed high and dry. Today too. Though it's cold in the morning. I notice a lot of trees starting to change and elk herds on the move. Today was mostly cloudy but no rain and made it to mid 70s.

Sunny morning to a cloudy afternoon. Got about 3 minutes of rain, not enough to do any good. But it was gray in the evening and you could see some clouds dumping there water out in spots and lighting in others. Made for a cool fall like day.

The willow and cottonwood trees are starting to change. The aspens are still green.

Sunny, cloudy, rainy, fine. Temperatures in the low 60's....and lots of wind, at times.

Probably the same again tomorrow...more or less.

Beautiful morning giving way to who knows what tomorrow....certainly our weather forecasters have no clue...Weather forecast for this weekend has only changed 4 times this week.

It's the weekend. Turns out the temperature is going to hit low 70's today. Absolutely beautiful morning and brilliant sunshine.

Late change and rain expected later today. Just a typical spring day in Melbourne.

Yesterday started with some clouds around and cool. Around noon a big gray cloud graced me with its presence. It rained about ten minutes but was windy with this storm for about 30 minutes. Remained a little breezy and gray the rest of the day with a few sprinkles during the night. While the gray was up high the low clouds that shrouded the high peaks were hiding something. Before sunset the viels were removed and high peaks got their seconds dusting of of snow this late summer. Today the sun has melted it away.

Today's weather in Melbourne was the reverse of yesterday! Cloudy, with a touch of moisture in the morning, brilliant sunshine in the arvo.

But definitely colder than yesterday. We were in the 60's today.
