Local room Tax from 1 April 2015

The local room Tax per adult (from 18 years of age) per night from 1 April 2015 will be:

£0.36 - Davy Crockett Ranch

£0.82 - 2 star / 2 key hotels (Santa Fe & Cheyenne)

£0.91 - 3 star / 3 key hotels (Sequoia Lodge & Newport Bay Club)

£1.36 4 & 5 star hotel / 4 & 5 key (Hotel New York & Disneyland Hotel.

For booking made with Disneyland Paris for arrivals from 1 April 2015 the above Taxes will be calculated accordingly to your booking.

Yep this is a change in the law as before room tax was payable by anyone over the age of 13.

These taxes are fixed by the commune and not the hotels and this is why you don't pay the same amount up and down the country

I think this is the first time that DLP are adding the local tax to bookings as a seperate transaction, as previously the package price always included local taxes.

Yes, it's because they have to for more transparency (according to the powers than be) so that people can see the breakdown and brings package deals in line with the rest

When you stay at a hotel in France you always pay the room tax either at the time of booking or when you pay on site. It is always separately indicated.

Some package bookings ie Lagrange also had you paying the room tax on site upon arrival but some like DLP had it included into the package rate.

is this a tax you pay on check in when you add adult with AP? if they, then the price for DLH will got down as I paid 1.56 or so last week and go up for HNY as we paid under 1e in October...

also was thinking about our booking at serris as we never made it there due to Eurostar problems and we were due to pay it at check in?

they can charge between a minimum of of 0.65€ and 2.25€ per nuit for a 4* and between 0.65€ and 3€ for a 5*
