Looking for a good place to have dinner, that is not a Disney restaurant or a national chain, within a reasonable amount of time from WDW that the average meal runs $10/person or less.

No bars/clubs/etc or places with smoking since we have an infant. We prefer american/mexican/italian foods.

We ate at Bubbalou's Bodacious Barbecue the last time we were in Orlando. There are a few different locations in Florida but it is a local chain. The one we ate at was in a strip mall at the Universal Studios exit. It was pretty good and very casual.

Local chains are okay...we just don't want to eat the same thing we can eat on other vacations. We may have to check that place out since we both like bbq.

well, you don't have to worry, cuz anyplace that you will have dinner in won't have smoking :)

that being said, I like the Orlando Ale House, they just have really good food......I mean, don't go for the high end food haha

I could suggest a few places like Seasons 52 which are AMAZING, but that's a national chain and a bit more than 10 bucks a pop.....

We always visit Sweet Tomatoes when we visit Disney. Extremely reasonable prices, and always fresh food. They are a chain, but a limited one. They are all you can eat salad, homemade soups, muffins/breads and pastas. After all the heavy meals at Disney, it's really a nice switch. They have a Web site you can search for on your search engine of choice that should explain more if you're interested.

I'd also recommend Giordano's, which has Chicago-style pizza and wonderful pasta dishes.

We love Logan's Roadhouse. It is a chain but nothing of the Denny's or Ruby Tuesday's caliber (sp?)... there aren't too many around, closest one to where we live in 500 miles away in Sacramento.

It's priced around $10 pp, or it can... it can also cost more, but most of it is around $10.

It's definitely American cuisine and it's very close to Disney... right next door to Celebration on 192.
