Local Disney Stores

Hello all! Have any of your local Disney stores opened yet? We're still waiting here in Winnipeg...

Nope none of the stores have opened in Ontario (GTA) region.

I'm till waiting for both Edmonton stores to open. Last week I went to the Disney Store website and randomly checked 3 or 4 stores in the US, and none of them were open yet.

I'm very much looking forward to getting a Disney fix by going through the Edmonton Disney stores when they open. Heck, I've even considered going to the malls so I can press my face up against a Disney store window and gaze at the merchandise (while wearing a mask, of course).

I have been holding a Disney fix in reserve. The Edmonton Lego store is now open, so if the situation gets desperate, I can go to the Lego store and stand in front of the Disney section for a few hours.

I was checking last night to and nothing was open near us. Our closest store is a 2 hour ferry ride away haha but I am seriously considering it when they do open up to give myself some Disney therapy. Maybe that will be my birthday covid adventure.

Still closed in London, ON. No indication when it will reopen either. Maybe after Disney World opens?

Read on the rumor board that Disney might close all their Disney stores?!?

Just checked that rumour board and they have closed that thread right now because of no solid evidence so fingers crossed they reopen soon. The article that they linked to was when COVID first started.

I'm hoping that they don't rush to reopen the stores too much, it would be bad if they open too early and have to close again due to increases in cases

I generally do shopDisney and not the stores, but am wondering if the stores ever have items that are already sold out online? Specifically adult sizes of Disney Parks items i.e. Haunted Mansion merch. I've only ever seen children's items at mall based Disney Stores (not DTD or DS), which is what I have near me. Any one have any input on store merch these days? Thanks!

the only places you'll find park merchandise is either on site or online (not as much selection online either) any of the stores I've been in have at most one table of adult size tshirts, maybe some pjs, a ton of kids stuff, some household items and toys
mostly stuff for kids

Do they have masks in store? I am trying to decide when would be best to make a trip over to the mainland. Last year mid October I did get some fun Halloween decor. Maybe I should hold off till December to get some Christmas goodies. I am going to need something to cheer me up from the two trips we will miss this year (stupid covid "insert feet stomping temper tantrum") LOL

Maybe next year Paris will be a safer plan? I feel like I need a plan in place to keep my sanity

I have not seen masks in stores so far. (Have been to 4 in the GTA area since reopening.)

How did it work out, close your eyes and listen to the music!!! I am going to have to get on the ferry one day and come over to the mainland. Anything fun that they had?

the one in Vancouver is a block from my work but i have not been to work since March, but i use to go all the time on my lunch break and just take a quick walk thru it

but i might have to go soon just to get my Disney Fix
the one in surrey is the closes one to my house so might have to go there
