I was wondering if any current or former CMs could help me in figuring out the Florida/local specific taxes that I can expect to be hit with on paychecks. After a preliminary Google search I only came up with Florida having no state income tax (and after another quick search, found out employees do not have a state unemployment tax obligation), but am having a harder time finding city/county taxes. I'm in a payroll accounting class this semester, so if it weren't for that and having to worry about student loans, I probably wouldn't even be thinking about trying to figure out paycheck estimates.

I know its a rather odd (and specific) request, but it is definitely helpful for someone like me trying to figure out rough "budget" before I get there.

Thank you, that was very helpful! Now I just have to decide if I want to claim a withholding allowance or not. I didn't when I worked at Cedar Point, so I got a refund. But after running some quick and dirty numbers, an extra $20 per paycheck may be helpful as long as it doesn't push me to under-paying and getting hit with tax due when April 2011 rolls around
