I have some friends who are visiting DL for the first time next week and I am her unofficial trip planner. I know local schools are still in session next week but what about the older students. Does DL anticipate that there will be a lot of out of state guests as they have longer hours?

I don't know about out of state guests but just wanted to mention that the "local" DLR area encompasses a huge area with hundreds of school districts, each with their own schedule. While some schools may still be in session next week not all will be. My son's school district is off the next 2 weeks. So, will there be crowds? Yes, it will probably be pretty crowded until the end of April when the last spring breaks happen.

The best advice is to tell your friend that they HAVE to get there before the park opens. This will give them at least an hour or two of shorter lines before everyone else shows up. Also, they will have shorter food lines if they try to eat earlier (11 or 11:30 for lunch, 5-ish for dinner). Hope they have a great time!

Thanks, I'll pass that on.Their little girl is a night owl so they can stay in the parks till closing as well.

Most Texas schools are out next week. That's why I'll be there . Can't wait. Crowds won't keep us away.

University of Nevada Las Vegas and Nevada State College spring breaks officially begin tomorrow too!

Arizona Universities and schools in my district have next week off for Spring Break and I know a few going to Disneyland.

The University closest to Disneyland is Cal State Fullerton, CSUF spring break starts March 28th.

In General So Cal schools really spread out their spring breaks, we have friends with kids in differents school districts and it is impossible to coordinate trips with everyone. Sometimes families with kids at different schools(due to ages), cant take trips because the breaks dont line up.

Our district, Corona/Norco, starts on March 28th as well. We are pretty close to DLR and many families will head over during the break. This is the first year that almost all of the elementary and intermediate schools in our district will even have a spring break. We switched from year round to traditional this school year. It's our first chance to even go during spring break.

We are going tomorrow, early in the a.m. (very early with the time change) so I can report back on the crowd level. We're going to get a few PP taken to reset my PP pricing to DLR pricing.

I'm hoping that the time change will keep many locals in bed a little longer on Sunday. Now I just have to pull DD11 out of bed!:scared1:
