Ok, I know this is probably far fetched, but.....is there any TS restaurants that serve lobster that are not a signature restaurant requiring 2 TS credits?

My daughter has always wanted to try lobster, and being on the ddp allows for my children who are considered adults on the plan to eat food they we normally are not budgetted to eat when we go out.

I do know there is a restaurant called Boston Lobster with all you can eat lobster, but we will not have a car for this trip. We are relying on the WDW transportation. I suppose I could get a taxi, but not sure how far it is and what the cost would be.

I keep thinking about upgrading to the deluxe plan Then we could eat at several places, including the shows or signature restaurants. The cost does seem high and yes I think it would be worth it if we were truly going to eat in ts restaurants for at least 2 meals a day, but we are only there 5 full days and want to enjoy the parks and what they have to offer.

Thanx

Tracy

Nope.

For a whole lobster or tails your only dining plan option is Narcoosees, 2 TS credits.

The Captain's Grille at Yacht Club apparently has a lobster salad sandwich of some sort (lobster mixed with mayonnaise) and that is 1 TS.

Captain's Grille at the YC has the classic new england lobster roll on their lunch menu! :thumbsup2 and that is one ts credit. That's all I can think of though. I like the lobster rolls better because I don't have to do the work to get the meat! JMO!

Coral Reef which is also 1TS lists a lobster roll on its menus, as well. Haven't had it, though, so I can't say how good it is ;)

Capt. Jacks at DTD used to have stuffed lobster but that is long gone, a casualty of the dining plan, I think. :guilty:

DD (22) and I are going during free dining and upgrading to Deluxe specifically so we can enjoy the signature restaurants.

You didn't say when you are going but if you are going during the Food Festival I hear there is a lobster roll you can get for a snack credit.

If you don't mind having lobster for breakfast, Grand Floridian Cafe has an amazing dish called lobster eggs benedict and that is only 1TS. Good luck and enjoy your trip!

OoooO! That's a good tip, anyone know where?:goodvibes

For the last several years you've been able to get the lobster roll over at the American Adventure with just a snack credit during the Food & Wine Festival. I think last year it was priced for like $7.00, but was still just one snack credit on the DDP. Great value!

Believe me -- the lobster roll at F&W is nothing like the Lobster Roll at Captain's Grille.
I have eaten neither. However DH has.
The F&W lobster roll is a good snack credit. However it looked more like someone waved a lobster of the roll, and it is a snack.
The lobster roll at CG is what DH always orders there. Never heard any cmplaints yet, and it is a big sandwich.

We really want the lobster too so we are going to use the 2 credits on Narcoossee. I have heard that the CS at Woflgang Puck is great so we are just going to skip a TS one day and eat at WP CS for dinner when we visit DTD. I'm sure we won't go hungry...LOL. :goodvibes

I had lobster on the DDP @ Capt Jack's in Sept of 08. Is that gone?

Something else to consider...
I don't know how old your dd's are but if they don't have "adult" appitites they can share one table service if they both like the same things. That way you can eat at a 2 TS meal and only use one TS for each of them and if they share some of the other meals at the other resturants you would have made up for the day that you used 2 TS on one meal. Does this make sense the way I explained it? The last time we had the dining plan one adult meal was plenty for my 2 kids to share since it came with desert too!
