Are the twin lobster tails excluded from the dining plan at CJacks at DTD?

If not, have you had them? Were the good? TIA!!

Last Sept we went and they were on the plan. DH had them, didn't complain!!!

We were there in may and they were included. they were pretty good, not dry, but fresh Maine ones are better. It will satisfy your craving that is for sure.

We were there last Oct, and they had run out of them at 8:00 pm....we were most disappointed. Wasn't much else on the menu that appealed to us. :guilty:

Yippie. We are eating there in Sept. We have an early dinner time so hopefully they don't run out. Thank stinks, sorry about that.

This is the one reason for us eating here. DH wanted his twin lobsters and the one that I can order with my steak :rotfl2: When we read about lobster on the dining plan he immediately had me on the phone making our reservation.

Do you think they often run out of lobster? I made dinner reservations late (after La Nouba) and would be really disappointed if they are all out (that is the ONLY reason I am going there)...

:) They didn't offer any explanation for why they were out. Just apologized very nicely. We got the impression that maybe they were surprised by it. Just wanted to let the OP know that it could happen, and if they really wanted those crustaceans, to make earlier ADR's!

is this place better than Coral Reef? My DS wants seafood for his birthday dinner, but i didnt know this place was even on the dining plan!

Lobster - yum! Just added this place to our "maybe" list of ADRs next year :) Thanks!

Not by a long-shot. Coral Reef is fine dining compared to Cap'n Jack's. Cap'n Jack's claim-to-fame is really just that they do offer lobster tails on the Dining Plan. Otherwise, there would be very little reason to recommend that restaurant over any other seafood restaurant. (It also holds the distinction of being the only Downtown Disney restaurant currently listed as participating in the Dining Plan in 2007.)

But is the food good quality? Icky lobster is worse than no lobster  LOL

I've never heard many complaints about the food quality, there, but that's perhaps because expectations are so low. :)

{{{Shudder}}} Captain Jack's makes my skin crawl! It is of no comparison to Coral Reef. Ick!

You will almost surely be allowed to pay the add-on price to get the add-on.

I was wondering if lobster is included in the dining plan at Cape May. If you have money, of course, the sky is the limit, as they say.

After reading your post, I got the feeling you thought I was asking for too much. I just got excited thinking about lobster. I haven't had any lobster since my visit to Disney World in 1986. I was on some sort of Gold Key Card plan back then (as a teenager), and my nephew and I went to the Empress Lilly by ourselves and ordered lobster for lunch. I remember distinctly, because it was the first time I ever felt grown up.

I had the lobster at Capt' Jacks just this past May. It was wonderful. It was cooked just right and served hot. Our entire dinner was great that night. I still can't believe it was actually included in the DDP. :cool1:
