Lobster Nite...anyone?

just wanted to know if lobster is served on the formal or semi formal nite- trying to coincide Palo with the lobster nite

I believe it's on the Captain's Gala night, which is usually the Thursday night. Not sure if that's formal or semi formal.

It is Thursday on the 7 nighters........this way the left overs are served at CCs adult beach on Friday.........

It was semi-formal night for us (7 day supposed-to-be-Western). We had Palo ressies for 6 pm and ended up going to our normal late seating too....to keep our tablemates company, of course.

This Lobster night thing... is lobster served at ALL restaurants that night? Including Palo's?
I'm asking because if you say planned Palo that night- does that mean you miss out on the lobster?

from what i have read- lobster is served at all the restaurants including Palo's on that special nite- i figured if i was gonna get all dressed up i might as well go to palo's

Yes, lobster is served in Palo too. We did Palo on Thursday night too. We also attended our regular dining rotation. DH ate his lobster, my lobster, an appetizer and then ate a huge meal in Palo. That was all after we had brunch at Palo that morning. Needless to say, he was stuffed.

Okay, is the "Lobster upon request at the adult beach" actually the lobster tail or is it the lobster burger that they serve at Cookies? The lobster burger wasn't at all what I thought it was going to be and I have to say I didn't like it at all -- JHMO

We didn't have lobser on the 4 night, only the 7 night unless it has changed since I went.

I'm sorry to say it is most definitely the warm water lobster. Specifically a pre-frozen and baked rock lobster. Tail only. Not the recently live then steamed cold water version that you and I know to be far superior in taste and texture.

As I thought. So on lobster night I will pass. One of these dsys all cruise lines will realize that it is well worth the troublw to bring on fresh cold water bugs.

At all meals you are free to pick and choose and combine entrees. You can also, I believe, pick something like steak that is not on that evenings menu.

I always on Lobster night - given the type of lobster served, will order both my lobster and another entree.

Lobster night was indeed the Captain's Gala night, and also happened to be Christmas night on our cruise.

The "Ladies", including myself, all ordered the Christmas special --turkey and dressing - it was delicious -- with a side of .............. lobster!!
