Are these available on any of the breakfast buffets? If so, is this something you have to request? Or are they only available at TS restaurants, such as Grand Floridian Cafe'? But mainly interested to know if on any of the buffets. Thanks :upsidedow

Sorry, I have never seen any type of eggs benedict on a buffet.

I'm almost positive they have it, or have had it in the past, on the buffet at 1900 Park Faire

Something to consider.

I've never been to 1900 Park Faire but it hasn't been on any that I HAVE been to such as CP, CM, Cape May but I can't think of any other buffet's I haven't been to.

If it is important to you, you can always call the restaurant directly.

1900 PF & Tusker House are the only breakfast buffets I haven't done. While it's possible 1900PF could have it, I doubt it. Having made eggs benedict at home, I think it would be very difficult to have it sit on a buffet. It's a timing & texture issue.....the poached egg would get hard, the english muffin would get soggy and the hollandaise would tighten up. If it were on a buffet, I don't think I'd want to eat it :sad2: JMHO

I'm gonna go with this one. Because I thought I had read it somewhere. Calling would be a good idea, but also at this point we are considering Donald's Safari at AK. :goodvibes So who knows.

I think I have to agree with Michelle on this one ... even if a buffet offered eggs benedict with or without lobster I wouldn't want to eat it. Blech! :scared:

The only restaurant that I know for sure offers Lobster Eggs Benedict is the Grand Floridian Cafe ... I thought for sure my hubby was going to order it last fall when we ate there one morning but he shocked me and went with something else. :rotfl2:

Eggs Benedict on a buffet is not a good idea. The Hollandaise Sauce will harden on a steam table.. It has to be kep warm and put on the eggs just before serving

That's why I was wondering if they had to be special ordered? :upsidedow

although i have seen eggs benedict on buffets, there is no way there is lobster eggs benedict on any buffet.

On a recent dining review...can't remember who's I did see lobster benedict at 1900 Park Faire. Found it... http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=29542235

Thanks for the link.....

To OP: I have to say that the item labled as "lobster eggs benedict" in the photo looks nothing like the dish I was served at the Grand Floridian Cafe! If you want to try the benedict, you really should go to the Cafe and have them made to order....they are a bit different than typical benedicts; brioche rather than english muffin and the hollandaise has a citrusy-ness that makes it very light. All around a very satisfying breakfast [and I am a bit of a benedict freak..so for me to be impressed....:) ]

I had it in August at 1900 Park Fare. It was scrump! :thumbsup2

It's done a little differently than typical eggs Benedict. Poached eggs are served atop a lobster and hollandaise sauce. No English muffins underneath, no Canadian bacon.

Since I've never eaten there, I don't know how it compares to the made-to-order dish at the GF Cafe. But I can tell you that I very much enjoyed it and the rest of our meal from the 1900 Park Fare buffet. :)
