I'm almost positive they have it, or have had it in the past, on the buffet at 1900 Park Faire

1900 PF & Tusker House are the only breakfast buffets I haven't done. While it's possible 1900PF could have it, I doubt it. Having made eggs benedict at home, I think it would be very difficult to have it sit on a buffet. It's a timing & texture issue.....the poached egg would get hard, the english muffin would get soggy and the hollandaise would tighten up. If it were on a buffet, I don't think I'd want to eat itJMHO

On a recent dining review...can't remember who's I did see lobster benedict at 1900 Park Faire. Found it... http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=29542235
Eggs Benedict on a buffet is not a good idea. The Hollandaise Sauce will harden on a steam table.. It has to be kep warm and put on the eggs just before serving
Thanks for the link.....
To OP: I have to say that the item labled as "lobster eggs benedict" in the photo looks nothing like the dish I was served at the Grand Floridian Cafe! If you want to try the benedict, you really should go to the Cafe and have them made to order....they are a bit different than typical benedicts; brioche rather than english muffin and the hollandaise has a citrusy-ness that makes it very light. All around a very satisfying breakfast [and I am a bit of a benedict freak..so for me to be impressed....]
I had it in August at 1900 Park Fare. It was scrump!
It's done a little differently than typical eggs Benedict. Poached eggs are served atop a lobster and hollandaise sauce. No English muffins underneath, no Canadian bacon.
Since I've never eaten there, I don't know how it compares to the made-to-order dish at the GF Cafe. But I can tell you that I very much enjoyed it and the rest of our meal from the 1900 Park Fare buffet.![]()
